Iraqis Auction Computers Donated for Kids

By
CBSNews
(AP)  The U.S. military wants to know what happened to $1.9 million worth of computers.

They were purchased by American taxpayers and intended for Iraqi schoolchildren. The military says they were instead auctioned off by Iraqi officials for less than $50,000.

Today's press release from the military is a rare admission of the loss of American taxpayer money in Iraq.

The statement says the computers were sold by a senior Iraqi official at a southern port.

A port official says the computers had been at the port for 90 days, unclaimed -- and that according to the law, they could then be auctioned off.

A fine example of the financial genius of Iraqi government officials. No wonder these morons live in a cesspool.

We owe "who" and "how much"? As an American taxpayer; "I want a refund". Where is our government when we need them? There is no excuse for the irresponsiblity that has been displayed with the hard earned money of the American taxpayer. The President should ask for a refund from the world governments that we have been paying their deliquent bills or they have been so poor, American taxpayers have been bailing them out of debt by digging our hole deeper. I am so tired of hearing how our government is giving money to some foreign country for their disaster relief funds. We need to take care of home, before we take care of anyone else. You have not heard of debt forgiveness from any of the other world governments. We have a disaster brewing in America that may require another "Tea Party" to fix it. Make sure you vote.

This is about as funny as the drug cartels that controls American purchase of medical use opium.
Did you know America is forbidden to purchase Afghan opium for legitimate use because of a treaty guaranteeing both Turkey and Greece exclucive rights to sell to our medical industry?
Mafia pay off in my opinion.
I CALL IT CORRUPTION.....WHAT WOULD YOU CALL IT?
We must break this treaty.

U.S. Military Questions How $1.9 Million in Computers Bought by U.S. Taxpayers Were Auctioned for Less Than $50,000"

LOL, they actually have to ASK that question?
Are they really that stupid? they donate $2 million worth of stuff to a country that hates our guts and resents our being there, and we wonder what happened to it??

"The U.S. military wants to know what happened to $1.9 million worth of computers."

Better question, what happened to the BILLIONS of our dollars LOST, unacounted for, or squandered on no-bid contractors like bildgewater and halitosis?

"They were purchased by American taxpayers and intended for Iraqi schoolchildren."

Isnt it FUNNY, how *OUR* schools cant even afford books and basic supplies, where TEACHERS are buying basic supplies for their students out of their own pockets, but somehow we can afford to GIVE $2 Million worth of computers to IRAQ??

"Today's press release from the military is a rare admission of the loss of American taxpayer money in Iraq."

Yeah, rare, probably they know wikileaks has the info and they are trying to head of revealing those documents by "coming clean " now.

Here's an idea: Have someone confiscate all money sent and spent on foreign countries and funnel it to all working Americans a monthly bonus. There's a way to stimulate the economy!!!
