(AP)  Scientists from around the world are providing even more evidence of global warming, one day after President Barack Obama renewed his call for climate legislation.

"A comprehensive review of key climate indicators confirms the world is warming and the past decade was the warmest on record," the annual State of the Climate report declares.

Compiled by more than 300 scientists from 48 countries, the report said its analysis of 10 indicators that are "clearly and directly related to surface temperatures, all tell the same story: Global warming is undeniable."

Concern about rising temperatures has been growing in recent years as atmospheric scientists report rising temperatures associated with greenhouse gases released into the air by industrial and other human processes. At the same time, some skeptics have questioned the conclusions.

The new report, the 20th in a series, focuses only on global warming and does not specify a cause.

"The evidence in this report would say unequivocally yes, there is no doubt," that the Earth is warming, said Tom Karl, the transitional director of the planned NOAA Climate Service.

Deke Arndt, chief of the Climate Monitoring Branch at the National Climatic Data Center, noted that the 1980s was the warmest decade up to that point, but each year in the 1990s was warmer than the '80s average.

That makes the '90s the warmest decade, he said.

But each year in the 2000s has been warmer than the '90s average, so the first 10 years of the 2000s is now the warmest decade on record.

The new report noted that continuing warming will threaten coastal cities, infrastructure, water supply, health and agriculture.

"At first glance, the amount of increase each decade - about a fifth of a degree Fahrenheit - may seem small," the report said.

"But," it adds, "the temperature increase of about 1 degree Fahrenheit experienced during the past 50 years has already altered the planet. Glaciers and sea ice are melting, heavy rainfall is intensifying and heat waves are becoming more common and more intense."

Last month was the warmest June on record and this year has had the warmest average temperature for January-June since record keeping began, NOAA reported last week.

And a study by Princeton University researchers released Monday suggested that continued warming could cause as many as 6.7 million more Mexicans to move to the United States because of drought affecting crops in their country.

The new climate report, released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and published as a supplement to the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, focused on 10 indicators of a warming world, seven which are increasing and three declining.

Rising over decades are average air temperature, the ratio of water vapor to air, ocean heat content, sea surface temperature, sea level, air temperature over the ocean and air temperature over land.

Indicators that are declining are snow cover, glaciers and sea ice.

The 10 were selected "because they were the most obviously related indicators of global temperature," explained Peter Thorne of the Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites, who helped develop the list when at the British weather service, known as the Met Office.

"What this data is doing is, it is screaming that the world is warming," Thorne concluded.

Hmmmmm, I noticed that just like many others you choose not to give the link so that you readers may see and/or read the report? You might wish to explain that to your readers. anyway, I thought I'd save you the trouble.

I LOOKED IT UP!!!!!

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/?report=global

The first thing that struck me was this very well placed statement?.

?Please Note: The data presented in this report are preliminary. Ranks and anomalies may change as more complete data are received and processed. ??..?

I am also a scientist, and a good one too.

The day these scientists choose to show me not only all their data (which they haven't yet) but also clearly outline the methods they used to collect such data plus also which methods they choose to arrive at their conclusions.... only then will I begin to believe such outright lies.

This is the 21st Century, the age of information and no scientist has the right to hold back on any information whatsoever, especially since it is the people, through their taxes who pay for them to go and do all this research, it does not belong to them, it belongs to the people.

I want to see all the data, not just a few conclusions and I certainly don't want to believe any report that says....

"This data is preliminary and may change"

Well if you were really a scientist, you wouldn't be questioning a standard statement like "This data is preliminary and may change". I call shenanigans.

Deniers and other members of "Idiot America" (see Charles Pierce's book of the same name) are alive and well on this blog. I actually feel sorry for you as I believe that , inside, you are scared and fearful little children unable to face reality. The internet is a great place for you to gather as much misinformation from other deniers as you want to prop up, and hide behind, your world view (you can find a lot of proof that a spherical earth and evolution are hoaxes too) but it doesn't change the fact - global warming, in our present era, is being primarily caused by humans using fossil fuels. Sorry......but it' true. It's time to grow up, "face the music", and act responsibly.

Government will never admit to global warming, because then they would have to DO something!!!!!

Here's goes another giant "screaming" propaganda push by the Climate Change Chaos Church. The high priests of this MAD science movement have gathered again to write more scripture and cast out evil spirits. Oh ye evil sinners and deniars; repent or be punished in 2012. Guess what; the world is not coming to an end and there's no reason for fear, doom, gloom, and panic. What's "undeniable" is that the MAD scientists and their fanatical followers are continuing to press for laws, permits, penalties, taxes, and costly useless radical changes that won't change the thermostat setting of the SUN by one degree.

a 5th of one degree oh wow!, if we werent measuring temperature in insane 1/100th of a degree, we would never notice. Geez, they talk about average of 1/5th of one degree, what a joke, as we all know, weather changes every day, one day it might hit 95, the next day a cold front and clouds come in and block the sun and it only gets up to 72,, and the next day it goes to 86 and the day after that it's 81, this BS of 1/5th of a degree is a joke given the daily wide fluctuations everywhere.
Regardless of the cause, get ready for the RIDE, because nothing we do NOW is going to reverse it.
I'd love it a few degrees WARMER, no snow here in the winter would be awesome too, I sure wouldnt miss shoveling the crap.

So, THEY are still trying to scare the public into a One World Govt through the U.N., huh?! The one praise I can give them, is they never stop trying!"

What I find amazing is how some peoples' brains can believe these types of things.

if the oil was left alone in earth then it would be normal tempuature and then like 80's or 90's or 2000 would be same tempuature and same as we been using oil for to keep an car from getting hotter and the earth is getting hotter and if the oil was still there in earth then we don't worry about global warming.
