Kyron's Dad: I Think Stepmom Had Accomplice

Kyron Horman's father says he "firmly believes" someone in addition to Terri Horman was involved in Kyron's disappearance.

The 7 year old was last seen June 4 at his Oregon-area elementary school, and Terri is the also person known to have seen him alive. She's the now-estranged wife of Kyron's father, Kaine Horman.

Kaine and Desiree Young, Kyron's mother and Kaine's ex-wife, have publicly stated they think Terri had something to do with Kyron vanishing.

Now, Kaine tells The Oregonian he's convinced Terri had a hand in whatever happened to his son.

In an e-mail interview with the newspaper, Kaine says, "Based upon briefings, I firmly believe that someone else is involved."

Police haven't named Terri a suspect or person of interest, but she remains the focus of the investigation, reports CBS News Correspondent Bill Whitaker.

Terri moved out of the Portland home she once shared with Kaine and their children after reaching a court settlement this weekend.

She was spotted Saturday in Roseburg, Oregon, where her family lives, Whitaker says, She was seen driving away with her father.

With Terri out of the house, Kaine moved back in. He left June 26 after learning from investigators that Terri allegedly had hired a landscaper to kill him. He also filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against Terri.

According to court documents, Terri developed a "sexual relationship" with a high school friend of Kaine's.

In the documents, Kaine accuses Terri of attempting to kidnap the couple's 20- month old daughter from a local gym.

Over the weekend, Kyron's parents visited the school where the second-grader was last seen. The community has helped create a "wall of hope' in his honor.

"It's great to see everyone supporting Kyron," Kaine says. "That's why we're all here, to find him and it's very overwhelming for us to come here, in a good way."

PS When Kyron comes home, if these people don't want Kyron, I would be happy and proud to adopt him.

sweet kyron i pray for you daily. u seems to be just like my son.please involve highly skilled investigators in this case.and bring the accused to justice. please focus on kyron finding.GOD help him to come home safe.this case is needed more money so it can be collected with the help of community.parents should come forward so that actual culprits could be unveiled.this is the question of a vulnerable child who is in trouble.kain u should be more concrned about your son. if kyron was in your custody he was ur responsibility to save him and check the stepmother behaviour. u r also responsible for missing kyron. all prayers for little boy kyron.

Why isn't FBI in on this; especially as special agents would be more competant than the Oregon cops so far. The step mother must be held as a material witness and qustioned skillfully. I believe he is being held by an accomplice as a bargaining chip, but without pressure, the woman will not bring him in. Enhanced interrogation techniques are in order, even if it harms a potential prosecution. Get the kid, alive or not.

The FBI is involved in this. I remember thinking that Kyron reminded me of one of my younger cousins. Well just this morning a lady saw my cousin and called the police - and the FBI was involved too. This wasn't even in Oregon - just goes to show that law enforcement IS doing everything they can and chasing every single lead to find this poor little boy. So don't bash the police force efforts in this case.

I hope he gets to come home to his family soon.

When are the police going to name this woman as a suspect? She was the last person to see the boy; she hired a hit man to kill her husband. What are they waiting for? Are they expecting her to feel guilty enough to come clean? That isn't going to happen. The woman is guilty as hell --you can see it in her face. I'm just wondering when they are going to make her a suspect and interrogate her. They've been much too easy on this woman -- much too easy.

Police, etc. need to get off the crapper and DO SOMETHING besides "whispering" in Kaine and Desiree's ear. Terri is a flat out piece of work but something about the other two are just not right either. Not defending Terri but the latter two need to quit "believing" the same old BS over and over and find this child PRONTO instead of continuing the 3-ring circus. PLEASE...ENOUGH WITH THE SOAP OPERA and find Kyron. They need to put a gag order on the bio parents until he is found. Please, God, let Kyron be safe.

Now that Kaine is back at the house he should check to see if Kyron's favorite toys are missing. If they are then I would suspect he is safe somewhere but with who? Who did Terri trust enough to help her with Kyron's kidnapping? Is it the man with the little girl in the background of his picture at the science fair? It's strange that no one else was in the room looking at projects.
Kaine needs to check every inch of the house for clues.

Wow, if only the police had thought to look through Kyron's stuff before any of this came out. (like in the first few days) Why their in charge of the investigation instead of you baffles me. And can we please get over the guy in the science fair picture, this was also addressed long ago?
