Baskin-Robbins Retires Five Famous Flavors

According to Baskin-Robbins, as a celebration for 65 years of 31 flavors they will make room for new flavors on July 15, 2010 by retiring five of its signature flavors to the Deep Freeze.

The five retiring flavors consist of: French Vanilla (1945), Apple Pie a La Mode (1976), Superfudge Truffle (2007), Campfire S'mores (1975), and Caramel Praline Cheesecake (2007). These retiring flavors will only be available until the end of July.

In the upcoming months, Baskin-Robbins flavor creators will conduct many sweet initiatives to honor Baskin-Robbins 65th birthday. Also, this fall they will hold a new flavor contest where voters will be able to select their favorite new flavors for Baskin-Robbins.

Since 1945, Baskin-Robbins has created more than 1,000 distinctive and tasty ice cream flavors. Currently, there are more than 5,800 Baskin-Robbins locations around the world, with more than 2,700 nationwide. Their top selling ice cream flavors include: Vanilla, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip, Pralines 'n Cream, and Chocolate Chip. All of these are staying.
