Ore. Brothers Collide in Head-On Car Crash

(AP)  State police in Oregon say two brothers collided in a head-on crash that left one of the men critically injured and his wife dead.

Lt. Pat Ashmore says a tow truck driven by 25-year-old John Arthur Harvey late Tuesday struck a Toyota Corolla driven by his 20-year-old brother, Westun Lee Harvey. The crash happened south of Hood River, a small town east of Portland.

Westun Harvey was critically injured in the crash, and his wife, 28-year-old Rosario Harvey, was killed.

Ashmore says it appears both drivers crossed the center line before the collision.

State troopers based in The Dalles are continuing the investigation.

That's sad... just damned sad. No reason to believe they were playing high-stakes chicken, but I'm sure there are plenty of regrets to go around.

I don't think so. The thought also crossed my mind. Why would they BOTH have crossed over the center line? They probably saw each other coming and thought it would be funny, only miscalculated how fast each was going and the distance.

But of course we won't know for sure, unless there were witnesses.

I agree with Tool. It is still very sad given the end result.
