2 Charged with Conspiring to Threaten Stupak

Authorities say two men have been charged with conspiring to threaten U.S. Rep. Bart Stupak because of his vote for the massive health care overhaul.

The U.S. attorney's office in Bay City says 73-year-old Russell Hesch of West Branch and his son, 50-year-old David Hesch of Loveland, Colo., have been arrested.

Court documents say Stupak's office in Menominee received a letter May 25 that threatened the congressman and his wife and son.

An attorney for Russell Hesch says his client is not guilty.

Stupak was spokesman for about a dozen House Democrats who withheld their support for the health bill because they wanted assurances it would not allow federal funding of abortions.

He ultimately voted for the bill in March after reaching a deal with the White House and Democratic leaders.

Stupak simply needs to be voted out of office, as he allowed the political machine to dictate how he should vote, and he did NOT vote his conviction.

He did not represent the people......and he should no longer be given a seat in Congress.

The majority of Americans favor this bill. Stupak voted for a good bill for all Americans. He fairly represented his constituents. Of course the Right Wing seems to believe in death for those that don't agree with them. Nothing new there.

Stupak did not deserve to be threatened and his family sure did not deserve to be threatened by idiots like these two. They just like so many other republicans have been led by the nose by corporate-run Fox News and millionaires like Limbaugh and all the other republican talk radio. When the richest liars are the ones the average people agree with and listen to all the time it definitely dumbs these people down to real idiots.

Stupak did act in a very odd way up until the health care reform vote. He was on Fox several times blabbing away about abortion as though that was all it was for. He did lead people to think he was a republican and would vote against the health care reform. Many Democrats were surprised that he came through and voted for this great health care reform bill that will help so many people and will make it more fair for Americans to have decent health care. Tea baggers and republicans are the ones who turn into terrorists and threateners when they dont get their way. It has been Democrats who are threatened by the people wiped up with lies by Fox and Limbaugh and other neocon sites about this bill. They will find out that it will be a great improvement for all of us.
