Buffalo to Obama: "I Need a Freakin' Job"

Frustrated western New Yorkers have a pointed message for President Barack Obama when he visits the economically troubled region Thursday: "I need a freakin job."

The president makes another stop on what the White House calls his "Main Street economic tour, this time to Buffalo, NY, the anchor city in a region that was hard hit long before a recession that made things even worse, reports CBS News White House correspondent Bill Plante.

Awaiting him will be a billboard carrying a simple, direct message: "Dear Mr. President, I need a freakin job. Period." The sign is part of a media campaign called the INAFJ Project, which was organized by Buffalo businessman Jeff Baker. Baker lost his own small business 15 months ago.

"We employed 25 people and it was the most heartbreaking situation I've been through in my life," he said.

The billboard ad, along with a video posted on YouTube (seen below) features college students.

Mr. Obama will tout his efforts to get the economy moving again, including the 297,000 jobs created in April, the fourth straight month of job growth. But the unemployment rate remains high at 9.9 percent.

"Nothing else matters unless the American people are working," Baker said.

Let me get this straight...You say "I need a freakin job". Well I watched the video. Here are my suggestions. 1. Haircuts. 2 Shave. 3 Brush your teeth. 4. Eliminate the word "freaking" from your vocabulary. 5. Approach finding a job as what you can offer to the employer as a unique individual rather than just saying "I want a freaking job". It never ceases to amaze me just how screwed up the current young generation is. It's not about what you can get handed you in life, but what you can create for yourself through hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

I really think you just missed the point. They aren't asking for handouts(although our society has been been force fed the idea to the point that we are believing it now). They are asking the federal government to stop making it so hard to get a job. To stop taxing and spending us into oblivion to the point that business can't afford to hire....

Every generation thinks they had it so much worse than the next.
I have a short haircut, clean shaven, no tattoos, excellent physical shape and brush 2x a day. My first job after graduating college (BS, Accounting) was stocking shelves @ $8/hour. Is that enough perseverance?
And about that "It's not about what you can get handed you in life". What do you think a job is? A job needs to be GIVEN to someone in order for them to "work hard".

they need to impeach him and the cabinet members out of office, with the new laws going into effect in the trucking industry they are going to put 180,000 to 225,000 drivers out of a job because of their weight, health, medical problems, and what ever.. the list goes on and on.. now they got this new C V S A 2010 point system out to where they put everything on the driver and not the trucking companies.. right now jobs are scarce and if he does this we'll all be out of a job..

The whole country should be covered with billboard signs like this! Obama has simply done nothing to get the economy up and running again. It's like he just sits back and waits for little rays of hope to shine through and then he takes credit for it. Sorry, Mr. Change We Thought We Could Believe In, but we aren't buying it. Nothing positive happening right now or later on could possibly be anything for you to brag about.
