Inside Terror Training Camp Tied to Bomb Suspect

CBS News correspondent Mandy Clark reports Pakistani police have arrested at least two people in Karachi, Pakistan. One of them, Tauseef Ahmed, is believed to have traveled to the U.S. two months ago to meet with Faisal Shahzad.

CBS News has also learned that Shahzad may have spent at least four months training at a terrorist camp - raided in early March by Pakistani forces.

The camp is affiliated with Pakistan's Taliban, the group that claimed responsibility for the botched attack in Times Square. Its leader Hakimullah Mehsud threatened, "The time is very near when our fighters ....will attack the American states."

Prior to the release of the tape, Mehsud was presumed to have been killed in a U.S. drone attack in February.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Mahkdoom Qureshi believes the attempted Times Square bombing is a reaction to U.S. drones targeting Taliban Followers.

"This is a blow back. This is a reaction. This is retaliation. And you could expect that," Qureshi said. "Let's not be naive. They're not going to sort of sit and welcome you eliminate them. They're going to fight back."

Though Pakistan is a key ally to the U.S., the country is still seen as a fertile training ground for militants.

Faisal Shahzad comes from a wealthy, well educated family. His father is a retired Air Force chief. But the failed plot will no doubt put new pressure on Pakistan to crack down on insurgents within its borders.

Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad is a U.S. citizen who is from Pakistan.

While in Pakistan, U.S. drones dropped bombs and missiles, nearly killing Shahzad.

Faisal Shahzad told the FBI that the reason he committed this act was in retaliation for the U.S. drone bombing, maiming and killing of scores of Pakistani civilians, including Shahzad himself. Faisal said while in Pakistan, he was nearly killed by a U.S. drone dropping bombs and firing missiles.

What part of that don't you understand, America? The U.S. government indiscriminately dropping American bombs killing Pakistanis - just like in Afghanistan - same stuff - different country.

Yet that doesn't stop some dumbo Americans (like Bill Maher) from continuing to repeat and regurgitate neocon lies.

I saw Bill Maher on TV talking about how he's never read the Koran, but Maher said Islam must be a violent religion because Maher "heard" the Koran speaks of "killing the infidels." Typical Western horsepoop. The Koranic passage Maher is referring to is NOT about killing Americans - it's about Muslims defending themselves from anti-Muslim forces AT THAT TIME - IN THAT CENTURY! NOT HERE AND TODAY! (Arabs attacking Muslims)

In order to understand a verse, one has to read the verses before it and after it. Read those 15 verses, and notice verse 5 says:

"Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

Some people like to translate "idolators" as "infidels" but this isn't truly correct.

This word in Arabic is "Mushriks", the murderous idolatrous Arabs!

During the time when this verse was revealed it was to allow the Muslims to defend themselves against being attacked by these idolatrous murderers during WAR.

Ofcourse in war you are to defend yourself from the enemy and fight them wherever they are.

Notice how is the only Surah of the whole Quran that doesnt begin with "In The Name Of Allah" because it does not apply to us today. See how much of a difference it takes just knowing the fact that this verse was sent down during war-time? That is why people need to read the Quran with knowledge.

Ignorance is what makes them think infidels refers to non-Muslims! Even in self defense, the verse is peaceful because it says if they repent and seek protection then let them free and forgive them.

Osama is so into his lovefest with Muslims he won't even acknowledge the bomber was a Muslim. This incident was simply "an attempted man-made disaster." It had nothing to do with radical Islam's war on the US.
