Bloomberg: "No Evidence" Anyone Else Involved

By
Katie Couric
(CBS)  CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric asked New York's Mayor Mike Bloomberg if the bombing attempt could be a precursor to a bigger attack.

"There is no credible evidence so far that this attack was more than at least one person, the driver," said Mayor Mike Bloomberg. "After that there is no evidence that anyone else was involved. It may be, but we can't say that it is."

"There is some speculation that the materials in the Nissan Pathfinder were similar to ones that were found to some failed attacks in the U.K.," Couric asked.

"There's a limited number of things you would need," Bloomberg said. "You'd need a timer, you'd need a battery as an energy source you'd need some explosive and you'd need something to enhance it. That's going to be true no matter where or when the...another attack took place. So, anything would have enough commonalities for the conspiracy theorists to blow it up if you don't mind the pun and make something out of it."

"Are you concerned about the impact this might have on tourism?" Couric asked.

"I think people today understand we live in a dangerous world," Bloomberg said. "And you can't let the terrorists win by locking yourself in a room. What I can guarantee you is we're doing everything that we can. Whether or not we will have somebody in exactly the right place at exactly the right time to prevent something down the future nobody can do that - nobody can guarantee you."

"But there is no evidence here of a conspiracy. There is no evidence that it's tied in to anything else. It looks like an amatuerish job, done by at least one person," Bloomberg added.

But if another attack were to occur, Mayor Bloomberg and the heads of all emergency response agencies would be in the city's situation room. It's powered by its own generator and allows the team to monitor video feeds, television coverage - even the corner of 45th and Seventh Avenue, where a crisis was averted.

Law enforcement officials don't know who left the Nissan Pathfinder behind, but at this point the Mayor believes the suspect acted alone.

"If I had to guess, twenty five cents, this would be exactly that," Bloomberg said. "Homegrown maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn't like the health care bill or something. It could be anything."

In the immediate area, there are some 82 police surveillance cameras and many more owned by the private sector.

Police commissioner Ray Kelly says the investigation is time-consuming and so far, he has ruled nothing out.

"I think it's dangerous to characterize it as amatuerish. We don't know the motivation behind it. We know somebody had the motivation to kill people, or seriously injur people. This investigation has a long way to go," Kelly said.

Another example of irresponsible Katie reporting...the minute we Americans heard that there was a car bomb threat on times square we all knew it was a terrorist plot and that there would be a radical muslim connection....extending the hand to these people by Obama is really working, isn't it? They are experimenting and getting better and closer at it. America wake up ... we are not getting the truth from our reporters until they have no other choice but to tell us itty bitty pieces. We live in a world with people who hate America and are dead set on creating havoc here and yes they are mainly radical Muslims. The truth and nothing but the truth!!!

Some would say that Mayor B saw an animal that looked like a horse, smelled like a horse, and sounded like a horse so he pronounced it a zebra. However, I think an examination of the facts is in order.
Number of Attacks against the US committed by Tea Partiers
Zero

Number of Attacks against the US committed by Liberals
2 - McVeigh and Kazynski

Attacks against the US committed by Muslim Extremists
Khobar Towers
USS Cole
Ft Dix plot by 6 muslims
LA Airport plot caught coming in from canada
New York subway plot
Shoe Bomber
Panty Bomber
World Trade Center - twice
I undoubtably missed a few

I think Mayor Rocket Surgeon saw a horse and determined it was an elephant

So, now it can be told. Bloomberg was right! It was a white, homegrown terrorist teabagger who was unhappy with Obamacare. Its so reassuring to know we have such perceptive, intelligent people in the mayor's office.

Islam is clearly a peaceful religion, we love the diversity and we demand tolerance . . . well, except for conservatives, Christians, tea partiers, loyal Americans, and other degenerates that offend your New York liberal sensibilities. Those evil mostly Christian teabaggers are the ones who need to be rounded up and turned into human torches for Times Square, eh, Bloomy? I have to hand it to you and Couric for sticking to your leftist narrative like good little useful idiots. Both of you should be fired, but, like everything else in this anti-American new America, you will be lauded as very logical and impartial. Ugh . . .

I wouldn't discount the teaparty connection so soon. I personally think that the Pakistani dudes were under a spell that was controlled by a bunch of teaparty women. Follow my logic...
Imagine a bunch of hot looking women, who knew how to cook, who were also addicted to Victoria Secret "clothing", and were also very successful keeping their men happy. Basically, they're the typical conservative who doesn't have a problem with religion, a happy home, good food, slender figures and perky boobs. Obviously not Democrats. This would explain Nancy Polosi, Hillary, Albright, etc. They were kicked out of the club many, many years ago, which would also explain their hate towards the typical American Babeness, i.e. Sarah Palin.

So I wouldn't be surprised if this group of hot chicks gets the Pakistani dudes under their spell. Call it Soccermom Syndrome. Think about how easy it could be. If they offer plenty of pleasure now (food and everything else...), why would the guys wait for 52 virgins who probably cook smelly food and are probably totally inexperienced in the bedroom? Makes sense to me.

Beware. These good looking American women have us all under their spell. We're all in danger. They're just after power, so I can't fault them. And, I don't have a problem with it at all. As long as I'm fed and get "rest", I'll do what they ask.

The very Liberal and very Perky Catie Curic was very comfortable with Bloomberg's blaming Tea Party ..... Anti Obama Care people for this event.
As usual the FACTS prove these liberal activists wrong!
Would Ms. Curic nod her head Yes Yes Yes if Bloomberg was blaming anti law enforcement activists from the violent marches last weekend?
Would Ms. Curic have interviewed Bloomberg if there would be any chance he might say extreem muslems were to blame?
