Tiffany Tehan's Father: Daughter "Remorseful"

An Ohio woman is safe in Florida after her disappearance touched off frantic searches and daily prayer vigils.

Authorities say Tiffany Tehan simply left her family and ran off with another man.

Tiffany was found with Tre Hutcherson, the man seen with her in store surveillance videos, in the Miami Beach area.

CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano reported five days after police launched a nationwide search for Tiffany Tehan, authorities announced they'd found the missing wife and mother some 1,200 miles away from her Ohio home.

Capt. Scott Anger, of southwest Ohio's Xenia Police Department, told reporters, "Tiffany has been found safely in Miami, Florida."

Police found Tiffany with Hutcherson in a car near a Miami Beach hotel Wednesday night. The two had been spotted together in a surveillance video from an Ohio convenience store before Tiffany disappeared.

David Tehan, Tiffany's husband, told reporters, "We're just so glad to know that Tiffany is safe. Obviously, moving forward there are going to be other things we'll be dealing with."

Tiffany had told her husband she was going to buy clothes for their 1-year-old daughter, Lexi. But police say she actually left Xenia, Ohio, to "start a new life with Hutcherson," who is also married.

But despite that David says he forgives his wife.

David said, "She may have made some mistakes, I can't blame her for any of them."

Prosecutors will consider filing charges against Tiffany after police called in the FBI and spent hundreds of man hours searching for a woman who they now say had abandoned her family.

Chuck Tabor, Tiffany's father, said he was disappointed when he heard the circumstances of why his daughter went missing.

"But the very first thing is that Tiffany is safe, and that was our major concern, our major issue. And we're glad that she's alive and she's safe."

Tabor said his daughter was "remorseful" and "tearful" when he spoke to her on the phone.

"She misses her daughter, Lexi. Tiffany misses Lexi very much and so from that perspective, she was just upset about that."

Tabor added that Tiffany asked if she could come home.

"And of course, we said yes," Tabor said. "We want to make it a safe place for her to come. So hopefully, we will see her soon."

Tabor didn't specify if that home was his or David Tehan's.

However, "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez pointed out that it might not be "smooth sailing" for Tiffany when she returns to Ohio because authorities are considering filing charges against her for the money and time spent searching for her.

Tabor said he couldn't comment on the possible charges, but agreed the days ahead won't be easy for his daughter.

"It will be a rough road ahead for Tiffany, for all of us in that sense," he said. "But our hope is in the Lord, and because our hope is in the Lord, we are confident that we can work through whatever difficulties are ahead. And so we're going to do our best in our faith, in our confidence to help her get back to her family, get back to where she needs to be."

She didn't break any law and she must have wanted to leave her husband badly to take off like that. We don't know what her marital condition was. I have seen the husband on TV and he seemed a bit off to me. What normal man shrugs off his wife taking off with another man like that saying he forgives her? Seemed a bit unnatural and kind of creepy to me.

I think the Father of Tiffany Tehan and her Husband are in denial. The Woman wanted to leave her Husband. What's wrong with that? They obviously weren't communicating? Why does the Father have to say she is remoreseful. I'd be embarrassed that my daughter tried to deceive everybody including her Church and start a new life. The husband appears to be in denial also. He is so willing to take his Wife back and all is forgive. Are the law enforcement agencies going to send him the bill for the extensive hanhours to find this Woman who did not want to be found in the first place. Maybe what the husband needs is not to go on Network Television asking for the whereabouts of his Wife but to get some Counseling for himself as to where do you go from here?

Wow! I've done some crazy things in my life that I'm not so proud of (just like all of us have!) but this girl has her own cross to bear now for a long long time. It's so easy to sit on our self righteous perches like we've never done anything wrong. Who was it that said "He who is without sin cast the first stone"?..... Oh yeah some may need reminding but it was Jesus Christ. I'm not saying what this girl did was ok but we have no idea what her mental state was or is. It's just amazing how quick some are to judge. After all who knows what kind of shame will come to your families one day and you'll need a little patience and understanding.

Wow! You sound like you really know your Bible. Do you go regularly or just once in awhile? Nobody was trying to Cruisfy Tiffany Tehan but did she think about what she was doing before she left her Ford Explorer with a Flat Tire wondering what Police might think? What if all Mothers just left their Husband and Children in the lurch to let everybody figure things out? Your right about asking what her Mental State was at the time? Obviously her head was in a dark place. Did you know the guy she was found with is also Married? What about his Wife and kids. Does the Bible also say Confess your Sins one to another? Obviously she had a secret that she wasn't willing to share. This requires real character. What this lady needs is not for everyone to feel sorry for her. She needs to be responsible for her actions. Yes, what you will on me has already happened. I have had my share of trials and tribulation. There are challenges daily. So just as you have your right to wave your Yellow Flag for Women who just bail and never mind the fallout just trudge on I say more Power to You. Jesus Christ does ask his followers to strive for perfection not hiding behind Sin and outrageous behavior.

Am I missing something? I am not saying anything she did was moraly right, but what law was broken, for them to be thinking about bringing charges against her? Did she purposely mislead the police? I hope there is more to it than them just wanting to charge her for the countless man hours and money spent. Having said that I am glad she is safe.

What made her leave in the first place. I can applaud the husband for putting his hope in his faith, but the confidence should be in the Lord, not yourself. He is able to bring you through.

I knew from the moment I heard Tiffany's husband on the news that this guy wasn't being honest with us. This lady was unhappy and for him to get on TV and say "oh, she's a loving church going woman who loves her family" is bull. A happy woman doesn't just run off and leave her baby. I think her husband and in laws are creepy. I hope Tiffany finds peace within herself and moves on.

I think the husband will be the biggest loser along with their daughter if he takes her back. She could be sorry all she likes but, I would take her trash and put it out on the front lawn let her new boyfriend take care of her, take custody of theirs child and she can start her "new life" they way she wanted! Even if hubby is a jerk she's to far in the wrong to justify this, at most show by taking their daughter with her! No this woman is worthless and deserves no understanding, bleeding hearts need not reply! The child is deserving of a good mother!!!!
