Kim Kardashian Poses Nude in Harper's Bazaar

Kim Kardashian isn't shy when it comes to showing off her curvacous figure, but she doesn't understand what all the fuss is about her backside.

"I don't get why everyone is always going on about my butt. I'm Armenian. It's normal," Kardashian told Harper's Bazaar in its May issue. "My butt is probably not as big as you might think, because I have small legs and a small waist, which makes it appear bigger."

The 29-year-old "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star told the magazine that going through puberty as a young girl was traumatizing until she learned to embrace her curves.

"I was wearing a C cup by the time I was 11. I would go to bed and pray, 'Please, Lord, don't let my boobs grow any bigger,'" she admitted. "I hated what was happening."

The 5'2, dark-haired beauty tells Harper's Bazaar that while being surrounded by California blondes, she looked to Sophia Loren and Raquel Welch and later Salma Hayek and Jennifer Lopez as a source of inspiration.

But evolving into a woman wasn't the only time that she felt uneasy.

The Armenian beauty told Harper's Bazaar, "I'm sorry I did Playboy. I was uncomfortable," though, she recalled feeling exited at the time.

Her mother encouraged her to do the Playboy photo spread, telling Kim, "Go for it. They might never ask you again. Our show isn't on the air yet. No one knows who you are. Do it and you'll have these beautiful pictures to look at when you're my age."

Her reflections on past photo shoots may change with time, but the underlining message Kardashian wants to share with other women is "embrace your curves and who you are."

Recently, Kardashian's photos on Twitter have raised eyebrows with her scantily-clad TwitPics and have sparked controversy with animal rights activists for how she was holding a kitten during a photo shoot.
