New Allegation against Roethlisberger Surfaces

One day after a district attorney in Georgia announced that no charges were going to be filed against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, an attorney in Boston claims a similar scenario was brought to his attention within the last six months, reports CBS station KDKA.

During a radio interview with WEEI in Boston, attorney Harry Manion talked about a case involving Roethlisberger at a Las Vegas nightclub that he claimed had the same outcome as the one in Georgia.

"Six months ago I was retained by a client of mine and a close friend to investigate allegations against Ben Roethlisberger in a Las Vegas nightclub that were absolutely identical to this Georgia girl's story," Manion told WEEI.

KDKA confirmed the comments through Manion's office. His office also said that Manion would not be commenting further on the situation.

Manion, who is a partner with Cooley Manion Jones, LLP, told the radio station that the history with Roethlisberger is troubling.

"The outcome was that the young woman did not want to proceed, and we did not take any action. There is a history here, and I can't say any further because we never proceeded with it, but there is a history here that is just super troubling," Manion told WEEI.

Roethlisberger is expected to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell this afternoon.

While charges were not filed in Georgia after sexual assault allegations, Roethlisberger could face some disciplinary action from the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL.

The Steelers ownership and the commissioner have both expressed concern that Roethlisberger continues to put himself in situations where he then becomes accused of wrongdoing.

If he did assault thes women howcome not one of them pressed charges? Did he flirt with them? im sure he did. He probably slept with a few of them. Was he stupid for putting himself in that situation? hell yea. But did he "Assault these women? I see no proof that he did. Its all about money.

Now it turns out that this lawyer has backed off of this charge today...in a hurry.

There is no third incident...yet.

My wife went to Highschool with Big Ben. She said he was a *pig* back then. He would grope girls. He would take his hand down by his crouch and would say, you know you want this. So as far as I'm concerned, this is nothing new with Big Ben. His actions are finally coming to light. Now everyone knows he is a *pig*.

Wake up, people! The guy is a RAPIST!!! He should put in jail. Following drunk women into the bathroom to rape them? How difficult is it for a millionaire star quarterback to get laid? NOT DIFFICULT. He's got a sick freaking problem. he's a rapist.

While I agree with the comments about Ben, I seriously question the timing of this one. This attorney is just going to surface and say that he was hired to address a "similar" allegation without any specifics?

Without more, this one smells.

Where there's smoke there's fire.

There are a lot of horndog athletes. But the vast majority of them are not chasing teeny boppers around and seeing how close they can come to catching a rape or statutory rape case.

Roethlisberger is just a shady, creepy dude. There are just WAY too many coincidences going on now to explain it all away. The guy is a total loser and a perv. One of these days, and it won't be long, he will try and rape the wrong girl, and when that happens, I am going to cheer when he heads off to prison, or gets worse (angry boyfriend/husband with gun; girl with blackbelt in juijitsu).

Sounds like a real creep to me. Someone needs to stand up and put him in his place. He probably paid these girls off not to proceed further.

Money and fame gets you out of a lot of trouble, while the average Joe would be behind bars by now. However, I can't say that these women are without fault either. They knew what they were getting themselves into when they started hanging around with the likes of this dude.

Perhaps they were into "Where there's fame and fortune", money can be made. With that in mind, it's hard NOT to give fault to the instigator as well. And with a nice payoff, most people would shut up too.
