Report: Jesse James in Rehab

(CBS)  It seems Jesse James wants to save his marriage. In the wake of rumors that he's had as many as five affairs, James has reportedly checked himself into the Sierra Tucson Clinic, which specializes treating in sex and drug rehabilitation.

"Early Show" National Correspondent Hattie Kauffman reported James' treatment is the newest revelation in a marriage that appeared to be problem-free less than a month ago, when Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress.

Just 10 days later, reports of a James affair with Michelle "Bombshell" McGee surfaced.

Now, Radar Online says sources tell it Bullock "has made up her mind" and "she's ending the marriage." Bradley Jacobs, a senior editor of US Weekly, said on "The Early Show" Wednesday a friend has confirmed to US that the star "definitely" wants a divorce.

"She's not going back to him. She's not interested in the excuses. She's been speaking with her lawyer," he said. "So I think it's just a matter of time."

Rumors of what will become of Bullock's relationship with James' children have also started cropping up. Representatives of "The Blind Side" actress say she won't seek seek custodial rights, but Jacobs says US has heard otherwise. US says Bullock is going after custody of James' 6-year-old daughter, Sunny.

Since her Oscar win, Bullock has avoided at all costs what has become a glaring spotlight, cancelling appearances at international premieres and award shows, as well as refusing to address her husband's infidelities.

Jacobs said on "The Early Show" James seems to have found "the new crutch" for men under fire -- rehab.

"Jesse James follows Tiger Woods and David Duchovny and, you know, if you consider Charlie Sheen."

Jacobs added that reports have surfaced that James drove to the clinic himself and was pulled over by a police officer, whom he reportedly told that he was going to rehab to save his marriage to Bullock.

Another trend is more women coming out of the woodwork claiming to have had an affair with James.

"We saw it with Tiger Woods," "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez said. "... It's very easy for people to say whatever they want, if they want just, you know, their 15 minutes of fame. And now, we're hearing that not only Michelle McGee, but a fifth reported mistress of Jesse James is about to come out."

Jacobs agreed, saying the phenomenon has been referred to as "bimbo eruptions."

"Some of these women want fame and press," he said. "Some of them, like Gloria Allred's clients, want to remain anonymous. That client says she has hundreds of texts and photos and e-mails from Jesse and that the affair only ended when the scandal broke just a couple weeks ago. And that affair, she says, was three years long."

As for custody of Sunny, Jacobs said, "Think about it, Sandra's been married to Jesse for five years and they have raised this girl together. Her mother, her biological mother, is in a halfway house, she was a former porn star, she's an admitted drug addict. So basically Sandra has been this girl's mother. Now she wants to divorce Jesse, but she still wants to raise Sunny. It's an interesting legal question, because Sandra, of course, is not the biological (mother) or (has any) legal claims to this girl. But she basically is her mother."

He added, "Sources tell us that she's actually closer to Sunny than Jesse is. So this is her daughter. And that's her next fight."

Look at the facts. This man was MARRIED when Sandra Bullock started a relationship with him.. Then in a vanity fair article she said they decided he would see only his children from his first marriage. Then, when she was unable biologically to have a child, she decided to take this one. She made her bed knowing full well what she was doing.

The thing with Tiger Woods is that his wife isn't as well known as Sandra Bullock. There are a lot of people that loooove Sandra. She's more in the spotlight. So, when you hurt Sandra, you are going to pay. That's why he's going to rehab. To save his career, and to keep her from getting his kid.

Sorry, I just ain't buying into the whole "poor Sandra" parade of her being totally and completely oblivious to what this dirt bag gets off on after 5 years of marriage. He's covered in tats and all his previous wives were skeezer-pornstar-strippers.

If she is really that oblivious, then she's the one who needs therapy.

Who still believes all these lame celebs who run to rehab once they get caught. Whether it's cheating on their wife, or alcohol, or drugs, or porn, they think rehab is the instant fix and sets their image back to what it was before they w ere caught. I guess they think we're all as stupid as they are.

This is funny. Rehab and he was still reportedly continuing the trollop-thing after the revelation? Is James that stupid to think anyone, especially his wife, would fall for this bit of theatrics? Oops, a rhetorical question; so sorry!

Yea Right.

First everybody jumped on the "We're all victims of our mamas being mean to us" bandwagon.

Then " We're all drunks or co-dependant".

Then it was "We're all bi-polar".

Now it's "We're all ho dogs and trollops and need sex therapy".

What's the next Excuse of the moment? We're all Republicans?

Rehab - what a joke, and what is it for? Can you rehab low morals and lack of character? Whatever Sandra does can only be her choice of what she can live with. I think she would be better off without him because he will only do it again. No marriage or person is perfect, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for what he has done. If he wanted to run around with other women, then he should have ended the marriage with Sandra first.
