Sandra Bullock Divorce Plans? Not Yet

(CBS)  Rumors that Sandra Bullock had consulted attorneys for a potential divorce were put to rest Wednesday when multiple sources reported that Bullock's rep denied that the actress had met with any lawyers.

On Tuesday, TMZ.com reported that Bullock's reps had been in touch with a number of high-end divorce lawyers. The report also stated that representatives for Bullock's husband, Jesse James, had been in touch with lawyers as well, though he would not be initiating the divorce.

James, who's alleged 11-month affair with tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee rocked the couple's five-year marriage, is still hoping for a reconciliation, according to People magazine.

"He would certainly love for this somehow to go away and that somehow things can be rectified and put back together," a friend told the magazine. "The one thing that's most important to him in the whole wide world is that his family comes back together. He will do whatever that takes."

The friend also added that James is spending "every waking moment" with his three children in the days since the Bullock moved out of the family home on March 15, just days before the infidelity allegations made news.

However, reports are also surfacing that James may have had affairs with women other than McGee.

On "The Early Show" Wednesday, People senior editor David Caplan said James is being implicated in other affairs by "many women" who are coming to media outlets to try to sell their stories of dating him, including a blonde tattooed woman from Huntington Beach, Calif., who claims she had a relationship with Bullock's husband from 2006 to 2009.

"That sort of is the other shoe to drop that people are waiting for," he said.

This guy is a fraud. He's made all of his fame by trying to claim that he is a decendant of a famous family just to sell motorcycles. Now business isn't so good and he's trying a "Tiger Woods" PR stunt to get attention.

What is she waiting for? Another round of humiliation? If she's not "lawyering up", she has serious personal issues. Hopefully, she will show herself to be a woman with pride, confidence and integrity by amputating the rotted part (formerly know as her husband) from her life and move on quickly.

I think what it all comes down to is: First, this poor lady has had her heart broken in the one of the worst ways, in a very public fashion, by someone who vowed to love and cherish her til death. I guess he considered "til death" to be "til the next time she goes on location to film a movie". Second, his gushing about how he'll do anything to salvage his marriage makes no sense, considering it is blatantly obvious he couldn't care less about his marriage when he was with this other woman, for almost a year. And finally, I seriously doubt Ms. Bullock is thinking "Oh what will the public think?". She is the one who needs to make this decision. I, for one, will be a fan regardless. She's an excellent actress whose work I greatly enjoy and personal life has no impact on that.

Really???? Please don't speak for the rest of us intelligent, independent women. I'll be a Sandra Bullock fan forever as will my husband, who by the way will gladly see her movies without being made to go. Although I feel the same outrage as a lot of people out there over what Jesse has done to f%%k things up and break Sandra's heart, how she handles it is her business.
