The Walkman phone

Rumor has it that Sony Ericsson will finally bring its W800i Walkman phone to the United States later this month, after debuting in Europe a week ago. We first saw the phone at CTIA earlier this year, and we've been chomping at the bit to give it a full test run. Although Sony Ericsson has yet to secure a U.S. carrier for the W800i, the company has previously introduced cool phones, such as the P910a and the K700i, without a carrier's backing. And considering the phone's extensive music capabilities, it may be some time before a carrier figures out how it can make money off music downloads.

In a striking orange candy-bar-style form factor, the W800i promises an MP3/AAC player, a 2-megapixel digital camera, e-mail support, messaging, an infrared port, Bluetooth, a speakerphone, a Web browser, and GSM/GPRS world phone support. With 500MB of memory, it lets you store around 150 music tracks, and the promised music-playtime battery life is 15 hours if the phone functionality is turned on--and a whopping 30 hours if it's off. We're still unsure about pricing, but we'll let you know as soon as we get it. Sony announced a second Walkman phone, the W600a, in June.

John F. Kennedy said Israel "carries the shield of democracy and honours the sword of freedom," and Bill Clinton declared America's relationship with Israel would "never vary from its allegiance to shared values."

Israel is a democracy supportive of western culture and values. Clearly Israel is our friend and Arab cultures are not!

I do not understand why Obama appears to think undermining a friend of democracy and freedom in the area serves his or the world's best interests.

I think Obama has made the biggest strategic and tactical error of his Presidency.

I have seen reports that the land in question has never been in question. It is on all maps, Israeli. So , now they can't build on their own land ? What kind of a BULLLY is OBAMA and BIDEN ? By making this simple building project an issue, they have poisoned the water. At the same day, same day, The Pal. had declared a woman TERRORIST a hero for killing = Jewish Children ! Talk about Incitement and bad faith.

Look, there has to be DECENCY on the Palest. side before any kind of arrangement can be made, otherwise IT IS IN NOBody's interest to have ANOTHER TERRORIST STATE in the WORLD !!!

After all we have done for them...For 8 years, the Israelis basically stiff armed President Bush. President Bush was probably too indulgent because they might as well have been giving him the finger for what they did. Now I am glad at least the Obama administration is letting them know they cannot just **** on us and tell us it is raining. They are indeed our allies and they need to start acting like it.

Bennie boy your day is coming if you keep doing this we in the US will not be able to help. If the conservatives have there way they will start another war then another until we have no army to defend ourselves let alone help you.

The Israelis treat the Palestinians like the South Africans treated the Prawns in District 9. But the Palestinians didn't come here from space - they were living on the land when the Europeans came, with their U.N. mandate and phony deed to the land. The United States has to face up to the fact that we are on the wrong side in a terrible international injustice. This is not some misunderstanding, the Israelis are taking this land, and shoving our noses in it. They have no intention of making any deals with the Palestinians, and they aren't listening to us, either. Biden went there to swear eternal friendship, and he got a knife in the back. Every American did. Voters need to wake up and realize Israel is NOT our friend.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Israel is our friend and ally. The Palestinians have been kicked out of every country they have tried to locate into - including the Arab countries. Lebanon, Algeria, Jordan, Eqypt. No one wants these people living amongst them.

Want to laugh sometime, go back and watch the funeral procession when Arafat's coffin lands on the helicopter. Talk about a bunch of idiots shooting weapons in all directions. I guess they never realized that what goes up must come down.

I know - blame Israel if someone dies from a falling bullet they discharged.

With every new settlement and checkpoint and WALL, they say the same thing. The cumulative effect is that they have cut off cities in the West Bank and made living there almost impossible. Google "Israeli Wall" http://www.vtjp.org/background/wallgraphics.htm

This is just a small part of a continual land grab to force the Palestinians out of the West Bank. This land grab policy continues to vilify the US in the eyes of the Middle East due to our tax dollars going to pay for this.

We've allowed the Israeli's to become the classroom bully and now they are throwing it in our face. it's time to stop sending our tax dollars to Israel when so much is needed in this country.
