Dave Price Celebrates Irish Culture

"Early Show" Weather Anchor and Features Reporter Dave Price traveled to Ireland to experience St. Patrick's Day in Dublin.

At this time of year, almost everyone claims to be Irish. But what do people love so much about the Irish? Price set out to find out, and when better than St. Patrick's Day?!

Price was on the air live from the St. Patrick's Day Parade in the heart of Dublin. He brought step-dancing, limericks, Guinness and more back to the States Wednesday morning.

All expenses for Price's trip were paid by Tourism Ireland. Price flew to the Emerald Isle with Aer Lingus.

The Chicago river IS dyed green every St. Pat's Day, but no green river in seen in the movie.

Dave Price was the host of a dinner honoring CEO Terry Lundgren in New York City on Monday March 15th.
He mentioned at one point that he was leaving midway through the evening to travel to Dublin where he would be covering St.Patrick's Day. "Maybe I should start drinking now" was his comment.
I was offended by this condescending joke in a room filled with fashion industry executives,many of whom are of Irish descent.
When did it become socially acceptable to make a statement like this?
I am sure that many people feel this way but are too polite to openly complain about it.
