Lindsay Lohan Sues E-Trade for Babies Ad

By
CBSNews
(AP)  Lindsay Lohan is feuding with the E-Trade babies.

The actress has filed a $100 million lawsuit claiming a television ad for the Wall Street firm that aired during the Super Bowl and Olympics was modeled after her.

Talking babies in the ad engage in chatter that refers to "milkaholic Lindsay." The 23-year-old actress has famously sought substance abuse treatment.

Lohan's name was never mentioned. But her New York lawyer contends that "Lindsay" is an equally recognizable moniker for her client - like that of Oprah or Madonna.

Lohan's legal team is seeking an injunction to stop future airings.

An E-Trade spokeswoman is declining to comment.

Hey Lindsey! People like Cher, Madonna, etc.. get the one name moniker from having talent & accomplishing deeds the public appreciates. Being able to lip lock a whiskey bottle till it's gone & banging anything better looking than than a fire hydrant won't earn you single name notoriety.

When people hear the name "Liberace" They think talented artist.
When people hear the name "Madonna" They think talented artist.
When people hear the name "Lohan" (Note I didn't say Lindsay) They think alcoholic, druggie, drunk driver, party ho.....I could go on!.

E-Trade could have chosen a name of someone who wasn't known for being an alcoholic. It is a bit close for them to have used the name Lindsay and then the word milkaholic, which isn't even a legitimate word. It's doubtful it will ever reach the courts. E-Trade will probably settle out of court and donate money to a charity in her name.

She should sue E-trade simply for the ads being so tired, monotonous and stupid.

I don't see why any investor would want to trade through a company that has a talking baby for a spokesman.

Way to go Lindsay! Watch all the talk shows and see how the reporters and anchors are laughing their heads off about "LINDSAY LOHAN" before they can even finish the subject "Lindsay Lohan files lawsuit". CBS however did misspell moniker, correct spelling is MONKEY! Should have read "her New York lawyer contends that "Lindsay Lohan" is an EASILY recognizable MONKEY..." AND,,AND COMPARING HER to actual women that work and do great things for the world! Come on Lindsay Lohan, you know you are riding an innocent ad which is something you cannot be accused of being - -innocent. TRUST ME "LOHAN" YOUR NAME AND IMAGE HAVE LONG LEFT CONVERSATION INTEREST IN MY HOUSE! Except for this, we all agree after this story that brainless and total idiots can file lawsuits.
