Uganda Pastor Airs Gay Porn in Church

(AP)  A Ugandan pastor is showing gay pornography at church to try to garner support for a proposed law that would impose the death penalty for some gays.

Martin Ssempa showed the videos to some 100 adults during a church service Wednesday in Uganda's capital.

He says he plans to show the films regularly to educate churchgoers on gay sex and also plans to show the videos to parliamentarians. He says some churchgoers cried after watching the videos, which he said he downloaded from the Internet.

Ugandan gay rights activist Julian Peppe condemned Ssempa's decision to show pornography in church, saying he should be arrested and needs mental rehabilitation.

The proposed bill has sparked protests in London, New York and Washington.

So, Cleric60, what's your opinion of Uganda's proposed law? Sound good to you? Like to see something like it here in the US?

I don't think I would patronize a chapel defiled by pronography brought in by the minister. That sort of crap could have easily been shown outdoors.....

June 3, 1886 King Mwanga of Uganda: tyrannical gay pervert. As many as 100 men, some as young as 13, were murdered, tortured to death or burned alive after refusing to submit to or sanction Mwangas insane debauchery.

This is a national Ugandan holiday celebrating their moral martyrs and to strengthen their social mores. Which no country has in surplus.

They can run their country they way they want to. They, at least, fall on the side of human dignity and social stability.

They want to stop humiliating and degrading human behavior and for this they get persecuted. There would not be this much uproar if they legalized any number of immoral human perversions.

These are people who have been released from extreme brutality and abuse in the past few decades. They are desperate to protect the progress they have made towards being a civilized and moral society.

Every society has legislated it's standards of behavior and conduct...every one of them. The Western culture has evolved into a mindset of "if it feels good, do it". Thank God Uganda is moving away from that kind of rebellious anarchy.

Technically, the people murdered by King Mwanga were due to their new found Christian religion, not becausee they didn't subject themselves to his sexual will.

And you say they fall on the side of "human dignity???" Since when does human dignity call for murder of someone because of whom they love, or the imprisonment of family and friends for complicity? And why aren't they giving the death penalties for those "sins" rampant here in the United States...adultery and fornication? I wonder how you would feel about them running "their country the way they want to" then.

The people who need to be prayed for are people like you.

"some churchgoers cried after watching the videos"

Probably because they figured out what they had been missing. :-) Idi Amin would be proud of this law. So much for Ugandan progress.
