Barbara Walters: No More Oscar Specials

Barbara Walters says next month's Oscar interview special will be her last, ending a 29-year tradition.

Walters made the announcement Monday on her weekday talk show, "The View." She says she feels like she has "been there, done that."

Walters' farewell Oscar special is tied to ABC's Oscar Awards telecast and will air March 7. It will feature Academy Award Best Actress nominee Sandra Bullock and Best Supporting Actress nominee Mo'Nique, along with a retrospective of past specials.

Walters says she will continue her other annual ABC News special, "The 10 Most Fascinating People," as well as co-hosting "The View" and other assignments.

In recent news, reports have surfaced that Hollywood is in business with Saadi Qaddafi, son of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, whose government?s actions have caused grave injury to American Purpose and Morale through past acts of terror. In Los Angeles, Ca., a chief executive of the film company ?Natural Selection?, Matt Beckerman, stated in a CBS.com news report: ?At a time when financing has really dried up for most of the film business, we find ourselves able to make things happen." in his answer to why they solicited the Qaddafi family for money. The report says that 2 Oscar winning actors will star in one of it's ill-funded films called "the Experiment" I can't say as I blame Barbara for her decision, but what I don't understand is why she has not reported on this issue, as it was CBS among others who submitted the news items.
