Edwards Camp: Book Includes Falsehoods

(AP)  Attorneys for former presidential candidate John Edwards say an ex-aide who is releasing a tell-all book about his affair is "primarily motivated by financial gain."

A statement released Friday urges "extreme caution" about Andrew Young's book. The lawyers, Wade M. Smith and James P. Cooney, said they haven't been able to read the book but contend that it appears to include "many allegations which are simply false."

Young's book, "The Politician," is due out this weekend. It chronicles Edwards' affair with mistress Rielle Hunter, the lengths he went to cover it up and the marital mess it brought.

Edwards is now separated from his wife and faces a federal investigation. An attorney for the former North Carolina senator says he is confident Edwards didn't violate campaign laws.

I hope Elizabeths's children see her for the wonderful, caring, kind, loving mother and person that John didn't respect!

Falsehoods??? You've got to be kidding me? This man is the ultimate liar! How dare he say this! A man has an affair on his wife who is terminally ill with cancer, denies he had an affair until it was proven, denies the child was his, until proven otherwise....need I say more? FALSEHOODS???????? Give me a break!

LOL! Anyone who believes ANYTHING that comes out of the Edwards "camp" is beyond naive! John Edwards stupidity is so profound that it's a wonder he can even dress himself in the morning...oh, I take that back, I've seen him wearing that blue tee shirt in many many photos (including the one in the hotel room). So I guess the "Ken Doll" does need someone to manage his wardrobe...

A shout out to Elizabeth "You go girl!" Congrats for finally washing your hands and throwing that imbecile in the garbage where he belongs. Hey, Reille, your dirty ****** bag is calling!

Edwards can always pick up some extra cash by entering his new "lady love" in the Kentucky Derby. She looks like she's been chewing on a bridle for quite a few years...not to mention "being rode hard and put away wet" more times than she can probably remember.

It was good that the book was written. It tells an important truth about a man who could have become our President. Edwards did not deserve to be in the position of respect that he held.

I like how they did it in the good old days. When you pulled crap like Edwards has done you packed your bags and left in shame. My Dad brought me up with just one rule: Don't ever do anything that you would be ashame of if somebody else found out about it. It's just that simple. But people don't seem to have a sense of shame anymore. It's like they can simply pretend it never happened and the rest of us are supposed to play along. And when you get caught red handed for God's sake man up! What ever happened to honor and a sense of decency?

Who are we going to believe?

Not Edwards who continually lied to his wife as well as Americans for so long.

What a different person he's become! He was good when running for senator but once he got attached as the vice president candidate, it was all about lies after that!

He personally cost Hillary Clinton the presidency but not bowing out and throwing his supporters to Obama.

If the media would have done their job instead of kissing Edwards' ass all the time, he would have been exposed earlier, dropped out and Hillary would have taken most of his supporters. Obama would never have won the Democrat primary!

John Edwards (speaking through his attorneys)now claims that this new book written by his former aide appears to include "many allegations which are simply false." But,why should we be fool enough to believe anything Edwards has to say about anything at this point? He's lied so many times about so much stuff that he reminds me of the old "Saturday Night Live" character Tommy Flanagan that Jon Lovitz used to play.

Recent revelations about Edwards do show the utter contempt he had for the people he represented as a Senator. Well John,I'm from N.C.,& I certainly have nothing but total contempt for you. You're a user, a liar, and four star phony. And as far as I'm concerned, you can go straight to hell!

Damn you, John Edwards! God damn you!

You have made fools out of countless people!

I'm from Iowa. You were a nobody in 2004, but we - IOWA - gave you a chance. We made you into a somebody. We gave you a name! We put you into the game.

You made fools out of us! You OWE us!

I gave you my time and my money in both presidential campaigns. You knew me and my friends. We were there for you, solid as a rock. You OWE me, John Edwards! You owe me and my friends here in Iowa...and my friends all across the country!

You are a horrible excuse for a human being. I can't even find the words to describe how I feel about you and what you've done.

I don't care about your love life, but I DO care when it was a shadow lurking behind your campaign; a campaign that never should have been launched. A fradulent campaign in which you STOLE MONEY from innocent people who didnt' know who/what they were donating to!

I care that you could have been nominated and then ruined the Democratic Party.

I care that you could have become President and ruined our country.

"Shame on you" won't do any good because you obviously have no shame, no soul.

I don't hate you...because you aren't worth the time and effort.

You a sad, pathetic little man and I rue the day I ever met you.

Signed,

"One of your devoted, always at every event, always volunteering, blonde 'darlins' in Iowa"
