Tiger, Elin Trying to Patch Things Up?

(CBS)  A new report claims Tiger Woods' wife may be trying to save their marriage, starting with a visit to the treatment facility where he is said to be receiving treatment for sex addiction.

RadarOnline.com says it's learned Elin Nordegren visited Woods at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Chris Myers, senior executive editor of RadarOnline.com, says she was there for roughly five days and actually took part in the program.

RadarOnline's source says Nordegren traveled alone on a private jet last week to see her husband, and that she was very happy when she left Mississippi on Sunday.

"When she returned, she was in an upbeat mood and seemed to be in a better light than she had been in the past few weeks," Myers said.

Elin was seen on Monday in Orlandom Fla. with her son Charlie -- and without her wedding ring.

She hadn't been seen in public all last week, but her kids were recently spotted at Sea World with Nordegren's sister.

However, Woods has more work to do in Mississsipi. Typically, says CBS News correspondent Michelle Gielan, the sex addiction program in Hattiesburg lasts about six weeks, and spouses frequently return for more therapy.

RadarOnline points out that, even though Nordegren may be participating in Woods' therapy, it doesn't necessarily mean the two are reconciling.

Myers said, "We have sources that say Elin and Tiger do want to work things out, and that they are talking and there is hope that the marriage will be saved."

Sexual addiction treatment specialist and therapist Robert Weiss, the founder and executive director of The Sexual Recovery Institute, a sex addiction treatment center in Los Angeles, says Nordegren, if taking part in the recovery process, will learn all about the secrets and information Woods may have kept from her.

Weiss said on "The Early Show" Tuesday, "She gets that disclosed to her. That's part of the process."

When asked if that would be difficult, Weiss said it's an important part of staying in a relationship.

He said, "I don't know any spouse that can stay in a relationship, and not know what has happened during the course of their marriage, so it's really important to clear the boards. ... It is a disclosure."

Weiss said 80 to 85 percent of people treated for sex addiction in a relationship stay together.

"It kind of bothers me when people say, 'I can't believe they stayed together,' because couples have a lot in common," Weiss said. "They have their kids. They have their families. They have their church. They have their community. They have a rich life, and even though there has been betrayal, that doesn't mean a couple can't work through that."

Weiss said it's a good sign that Woods is getting treatment -- especially because he's such a public figure.

He said, "I think it will be very hard for someone like that to walk into a bar and hit on someone or create a situation, because the whole world knows, 'Hey Tiger, you got this problem.'"

I wonder why he never went for a black woman, he only wants white women just like OJ Simpson. I don't get why blacks look up to these people that they have nothing in common with, they are wealthy and associate with rich whites, marry white women, have bi-racial children and turn away from the black community but yet blacks seem to admire these sell-outs.

As far as "do-gooders never make a mistake"

When someone does something wrong, the APPROPRIATE response is to be angry.

If you ever do something really stupid, and you recognize that you made a mistake, you're not going to get indignant at those who dare to be angry with you, as if they owe you forgiveness or something; if you really screwed up, it's right that they're angry, and "owning up" means you accept that they have a right to be mad.

What this world does NOT need is another off-tune song by some guy who looks like he needs a bath, singing, "ohh honey I'm sorry I cheated...I said I'm sorry, now, shut the FF up and get back in bed with me...ohh honey I love you sooo much....now darnit do as I say, get OVER it already, ya **** *****...."

To say that people shouldn't be offended or outraged is tantamount to saying "it's okay to cheat"...which is nothing but yet another version of "it must be okay! everyone does it!"

Nivlac_Skcaj says, "Anyone who is an honorable person will treat him with respect. It is only the lowlifes in the world who want to act like fools in situations like these." Amen!! Rather funny how all the 'do-gooders' of the world NEVER forgive, never forget. Do-gooders never make a mistake or cheat - or at the very least never get caught. Some do-gooders go to church on Sunday where they are taught about forgiveness - and taught to never criticize thy neighbor before making sure their own home is in order. Too bad do-gooders are such complete idiots and oblivious to their own ill-ways!

Here's a suggestion for all the 'do-gooders' who post on here: LOOK IN THE MIRROR AT YOUR OWN LIVES BEFORE SPEWING YOUR HATRED!

I applaud Tiger and Elin and hope they patch it up for their sake and the sake of their children. And everyone else should respect their decision and put their own opinions up where the sun doesn't shine!

If you don't honor your vows
If you lie and cheat
If you make a fool of those who believe in you
If you destroy the security of your child's home
If you violate your relationships

Then either we as a society let you know that what you have done is a serious violation

Or we as a society lose our ability to form social bonds.

Trust is valuable.
Those who violate trust are not welcome amongst people who are trustworthy and who know how to form stable relationships.

Apparently you don't see anything wrong with lying, hurting people, violating your vows, causing your loved ones pain. Maybe you really do believe everyone does it.

You're wrong.
Most people do not.

Tiger and Elin will never be allowed to work out their (private) lives. The MSM will not allow that. They make more money for the media as Scandalous headlines than as regular people. It is not something the Media is willing to allow to happen. People think the Government runs the country, this is wrong. The MSM runs the world and are at this moment proving it over and over. The only reason that a single election in a state thats small enough to throw a baseball from one side to the other killed a Health care bill is that the MSM "SAID IT DID". Thats right!!!! nothing else changed but one vote and The MSM declared it "dead". (and it is not clear 'yet' how Brown will eventually vote)
Sssssshhhheeeeeeeessssshhhhh!!!!!!!

Sexual addiction - like drug and alcohol addiction - is a spiritual and a generational issue. Tiger Woods is doing what his father did, and what his own son will do after him, if he does not get free.

Lust only intensifies when you feed it, like throwing logs into a fire. Eventually it will rage out of control and destroy everything around it. That's what happened to Mr. Woods.

Tiger Woods is in need of serious heavy-duty deliverance ministry.

Tiger did wrong but it's no different than what many before him have done. Elin was an uneducated babysitter with no skills or wealth when she married Tiger. Now she and her entire family are living better than they ever have because Tiger is paying for it all, so I don't think she's going anyplace.
People need to stop thinking, just because a woman is nice looking doesn't mean she's a great wife.
