Dell postponing earnings release

Dell is putting off the release of its earnings results until later this month because it needs more time to figure out how to deal with an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, it announced late Wednesday.

Dell had originally been expected to report earnings Thursday, but it now will release results by "the end of the month," it said in a press release. Also, Dell said it only plans to issue a release when it's ready to report the numbers.

Last time it reported earnings, Dell disclosed that it was being investigated by the SEC with regards to potential accounting irregularities. The company still has yet to file a report with the SEC from its last quarter, which played a part in the decision to postpone the announcement, Dell said.

The 2001 and 2003 tax cuts added about $1.7 trillion to deficits between 2001 and 2008. Because they were financed by borrowing ? which increases the national debt ? this figure includes the extra interest costs resulting from that additional debt. This figure also includes the cost of 'patching' the Alternative Minimum Tax to keep the tax from hitting millions of upper-middle-class households, a problem the tax cuts helped cause. Over the next decade (2009-2018), making the tax cuts permanent would cost $4.4 trillion, assuming that the tax cuts remain deficit-financed, which is a given.

The exhaustive spreadsheets at financialstability.gov document the status of the 667 investments made under CPP since fall of 2009, with many returning the borrowed money at a profit for the taxpayers. The 2009 budget deficit went from a predicted $1.84 Trillion to $1.4 Trillion due to money returned under TARP, and more at the end of last year. The US Treasury Department?s report summarizing its activities for the fiscal year 2009 showed lower projected costs and higher anticipated returns of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

While the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act (EESA) gave Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner the authority to use $700bn to meet the objectives of the Act, the report shows that TARP will not cost taxpayers the full amount.

The Treasury Office of Financial Stability (OFS) used $364bn of the $700bn available funds, mostly in investments according to the report, and $73bn of the TARP funds have already been repaid.

Once again, the wars continue, they have not ended under Obama, he can bring the troops home any day he wishes, and he is the commander and chief.

The Democrats continue to fund the wars and people like you continue to defend them.

The federal tax rate is exactly the same as it was in 2003, so obviously you are lying about raising taxes.

Last year, President Obama was handed a $1.2 Trillion budget deficit on Jan. 20th, 2009, and by Oct, the end of the fiscal year, it was $1.4 Trillion, or $200 Billion higher.

Please, before making yourself look any more ignorant, go ahead and show us all the tax increases that didn't happen, and show us the spending that was not attributed to the busheviks -- since we're spending over $1 Billion per day on the interest alone on the national debt that the busheviks doubled to $11 Trillion; we're spending hundreds of billions per year on the bushevik WARS of choice; we're spending hundreds of billions per year on the bushevik's Medicare Part D pharmaceuticals; and we're losing hundreds of billions per year on lost revenue due to the bushevik tax cuts.

Keep in mind that the Democrats have been in control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate since 2006.

All spending bills begin in the House, which was controlled by Democrats. Any spending increases from 2006 forward belong to the Democrats, which Bush should have vetoed, but that was his way of bipartisanship.
