(AP)  U.S. country music star Charlie Daniels is recovering from a mild stroke he suffered while snowmobiling in Colorado, his Web site says.

The singer, fiddler and guitarist is best known for his 1979 hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." That same year he was featured in the John Travolta movie "Urban Cowboy."The statement says the 73-year-old Daniels suffered the stroke Friday. He was first treated at a hospital in Durango, then airlifted to a Denver hospital. He was released on Sunday.

The statement says Daniels doesn't plan to cancel any concerts. His next appearance is scheduled for Feb. 27.
