Couple Kills Baby in Black Magic Ritual

Pakistani police have arrested a couple on charges of stabbing their 3-month-old baby to death in a black magic ritual they believed would get them rich.

Police officer Hazoor Bukhsh says officers recovered a 3-year-old girl who they feared was also going to be killed.

The couple was arrested Monday in a house in the city of Karachi.

The body of their baby girl was exhumed from their backyard.

Bukhsh says a witch doctor advised them to kill the girl after telling them it would make them rich.

Who cares how the universe came to be. It is irrelevant to the human condition. While such things may be beyond human capacity to understand, knowing the answer to how the universe came to be changes nothing. About the only thing we can know for sure is the human desire to place itself at the center of everything and magically enhance our status in the scheme of things. Truth be told we are not that important. In fact, we will come and go as a species in a blink of an eye with little or no trace that we ever existed. The thought that humanity had some role in the creation of the universe is absurd. How convenient for us to assume that all the countless stars and galaxies were created just for US in some act of love by an all-powerful super being. The fact we would even entertain such a notion proves how ignorant we are as a species. All the natives dancing around sacrificial fires makes me ashamed of the species I was born into. When you hear about the dirt dumb animals that so easily steal other's lives in the hope theirs will somehow benefit makes me sick to my stomach. Shame on us all. Shame on the humanity that would dare refer to itself as an advanced species.

Actually, none of the above explain how the basic elements came to be. You say that believing in God is a fairy tale while at the same time having no explanation for how out of nothing came the basic elements.

I realized 31 years ago how dangerous dogma is when Jim Jones ordered almost a thousand suicides and got them.

Dogma is all about mind control.

The Christians have their same version of this incident regarding Abraham.

He was all good with slaughtering his own child simply because he was told to do so.

He didn't go through with it, as the story goes because "God" said "nevermind", but he was more than willing to do so.

So "the father of Israel" was no better than these two idiots.

The problem I have with an athiest would be their explanation of how all things came to be. The basic elements cannot be created or destroyed by man, yet somehow they without God or a higher being, came to be. Out of nothingness, suddenly their is something? The Big bang theory doesn't cover this one. Please explain (anyone) how this occurred. This can be overlooked, but the idea of a higher being, no. I invite you to study the Bible and disprove it. You may be amazed at what you find. But its up to you. no one here forcing you to accept it or die by the sword. Again, explain the formation of the basic elements with the scientific method.
