New Clues about CIA Suicide Bomber

By
Kimberly Dozier
(CBS)  Security may be tighter at the base Friday, but U.S. officials still don't know exactly how a suicide bomber managed to get in without being searched, killing even CIA agents including the base commander.

One former intelligence official tells CBS News initial reports indicate the bomber was being recruited as a CIA source.

And a Pakistani Taliban commander Friday praised what he called their "double agent." He said the bomber was avenging the killing of Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud in a U.S. drone strike last August.

Taliban sources tell CBS News the notorious Haqqani network was behind the attack, using Afghan operatives with the help from colleagues in Pakistan.

The Haqqani group covers both sides of the Afghan-Pakistan border, reports CBS News correspondent Kimberly Dozier. U.S. officials say the group is responsible for everything from suicide and roadside bombings to the capture of U.S. Private Bowe Berghdal.

U.S. commanders say they've been stepping up attacks against the Haqqanis, sending an extra 1,000 special ops forces across Afghanistan over the past year. Another 500 are due this spring. A senior U.S. official says the Paksitani government has also agreed to allow small numbers of U.S. special ops forces to operate on the ground in the Haqqani's Pakistan stronghold.

Forward operating base Champman was key to gathering intelligence against the Haqqanis and coordinating drone strikes. That mission has been made much more difficult.

"The bottom line is this was a really important target," said Christine Fair of Georgetown University. "They knew what they were doing when they went after this particular base."

While intelligence collection may be disrupted it has not stopped operations. A Taliban commander told CBS News a U.S. drone strike Friday in Pakistani territory took out another top Taliban commander from the Haqqani network.

JJHH3000 take a chill pill. How do you even go out of the house as frightened as you are.

It is quite simple. The American sponsors of terrorism (the big corporations) have taken over EVERYTHING. That is how rich Saudis as well as rich Christians are able to buy off politicians, etc.

Originally posted on Canadian website, applicable to U.S. even more:

While Americans die in Afghanistan, politicians and "activists" on Al-Qaeda's payroll continue to promote the insane failed policies of mass immigration to our shores. Mass immigration remains Radical Islam's primary weapon for infiltrating Western nations until they have a critical mass of supporters. Why is this rarely discussed except on specialized websites like jihadwatch.org? Why are rich Saudi front organizations like CAIR allowed to operate with impugnity, buying off politicians, judges, journalists and academics? Could your Senator and/or Representative be among them? Shouldn't you find out?
If Islam even becomes the majority religion in America, non-Muslims can expect a life of active persecution, both official and unofficial as exists in every majority-Muslim nation. This is the fate you want for future generations? If not, you might want to spread the word about this and copy this text and send to as many friends and relatives as you can.

Times of Pakistan 1/1/10

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador Anne W Patterson on Thursday announced that Washington would release $1.2 billion in January 2010 as part of the Coalition Support Fund (CSF).

The release had been delayed due to non-availability of responsible personnel in the US embassy to process the case, she told reporters after signing an agreement for $55 million Infrastructure Rehabilitation and Construction Programme in South Waziristan.

The US ambassador said Washington would provide $3.5 billion to Pakistan in one year, which would include $1.1 billion in military assistance and $1.5 billion for humanitarian and other assistance.

Grant: The $55 million grant would be disbursed for infrastructure rehabilitation and the restoration of power supply affected by the military operations against the Taliban in South Waziristan.
"This support is part of the strategic agreements worth $899 million signed by the two governments on September 30, 2009," she said, adding that the grant would be directly provided to the FATA Secretariat, as it worked with the Frontier Works Organisation, the Water and Power Development Authority, and other local agencies to rebuild roads and develop the water and power supply system.
displaced persons in FATA and the NWFP,? she said and reiterated the US pledge to continue support for infrastructure development in the FATA.

The grants would be used for the construction of 100 kilometres of the Makeen Road and take measures for improving the quality of life of the local population.

That's 3 and a half billion more steps closer to the bankruptcy of the Empire and the opportunity to restore the Republic to its Constitutional roots.

There were no "American victims", every sucker that died was involved in the genocide, and illegal occupation of a sovereign state.

As part of a hostile military force against another country, anyone participating in, or aiding the continuance of said occupation is a legitimate military target.

Calling them "victims" is the same as calling dead Nazi soldiers in 1945 "victims".

It is time to investigate the totality of and exactly why the USA is in the cross hairs of terrorism. OBL said in 2003 that it was due 100% to our unfettered, biased and blind support for Israel's actions against their neighbors.

If so and because of the absurd aggressive actions of Israel taken against their neighbors, then we need to change our support and loyalties - that is unless we want to go broke and lose our Constitutional rights for the sake of Israel.

Until someone explains the behavior of the 5 dancing Israelis "documenting the event" via pictures on 9-11, which was covered-up by our media I do not trust them.

"At bottom, suicide terrorism is a strategy for national liberation from foreign military occupation by a democratic state" (Pape 2005:45).
Now I really do not think that one can argue with that statement, so we now have a starting point.
Maybe we should look at ourselves, where have all of the Union Labor Jobs gone, most went to Communist China. And the reason is that right wing Americans wanted to break the American Labor Movement.
The American Labor Movement favored Social Reform, and Social Justice, and Social Security type Legislation. In other words people in America who just wanted a fair shake, were labelled Communists, and their jobs were given to real Communists in Communist China.
Now a nation that does that to its own people, how do you think its treats nations that it does not like.
The elite of the United States, is truly favored by the Government, and because of this the United States has become a police state, a Fascist Police State.
We have indeed lost many of our freedoms, and we are losing our Constitutional Rights. The main force that is taking our rights are the police and the secret police, they enjoy abusing citizens. They hate the Constitution, for it "makes their job harder" they know who is guilty, their is no reason to investigate, lets just torture a confession out of the guilty individuals and put them to death.
You need to take a look at just what the police are doing in America, and why. Here is an example of why.
"On October 31. 1967, Tom Karamessines sent a raw and unconfirmed rumor from a cuban to the White House. " A Negro training camp" had been established at a beach near Santiago de Cuba, where Negroes were being trained for subversive operations against the United States, ......."Page 286,LEGACY OF ASHES, Tim Weiner. Does this help you understand just what happened to the Civil Rights Movement in America.
There is a secret Fascist inspired War against Democracy in America. It is the Secret Police and perhaps it is impossible to stop it, but that does not mean that we should not try. People must educate themselves, Schools and the Media are against the Citizens, and the Secret Police infiltrate every organization that tries to educate the citizens as to what is going on.
It is a crime to speak out against the Secret Police, maybe not officially, but you will be punished, when you are found out, speaking out against them.

This exemplifies the real question - will anyone who screws up in our government ever be held accountable? Didn't happen on 9-11.

Maybe the honchos don't want accountability because it involves investigations and discovery that may lead into areas where they don't want accountability.

[This exemplifies the real question - will anyone who screws up in our government ever be held accountable? Didn't happen on 9-11. ]

no ... the system is now setup to ensure that nobody needs to take accountability ... and if they wait long enough ... maybe they'll even get a promotion and some medals (of the freedom variety).

can't spot a guy who is flying to the u.s. on christmas day who bought the ticket w/ cash, traveling by himself, has nearly no bags to carry on board, and his passport indicates that he had been in yemen for two months w/ a single day stop in nigeria just before his holiday flight to the u.s.

everyone talks about 'connecting dots' ... but there were no dots to connect ... just a whole bunch of flags that should have been raised by this 23 yr old moron who didn't get any special attention from anyone ... until he literally lit himself on fire on the plane.

freedom medals for everyone!
