Quote of the day: 'Angst' when 'little screens go blank'

By

Larry Neal, deputy staff director for communications at the U.S. House of Represenatives' Energy and Commerce Committee, wrote an 18-line poem about a life without a BlackBerry, which could potentially result from a federal court hearing Friday.

"'Freedom!' will the joyful say, Released from slavery today! Yet others'll suffer horrid angst if their little screens go blank,"

he wrote. Click here for full story.

Who cares anyway, Fox has brainless programming aimed at those who are easily persuaded by gross misrepresentations of the truth with hate and Murdock?s counterproductive far right views.

Time Warner, PLEASE let Fox go!!!!! Nothing lost there. I only wish Fox News had been included in this threatened line-up. But no matter what happens, Fox news will never go off the air. To Time Warner: I will not pay one extra cent for any Fox programming!! In fact, why can't we just cherry pick the stations we want anyway?

The cable providers have nothing to worry about. When push comes to shove, no way Murdoch is going to allow his 28%ers to lose their source of "news". They might actually turn to a real news channel. What a disaster that would be.

Outside of some sports events, the loss of Fox to basic cable is rather meaningless.

Fok Fox. Give the bandwidth to an educational channel, or at least to deserving alternative programming.

The US should actually think about broadcasting some actual education.

think this is no different than what Time Warner has done to its internet subscribers....supply and demand baby. "You want it, we got, pay me" We ALL rolled over and took one when Time Warner Cable hiked up the internet price and charged by usage without notifying users of their average monthly use. They raise my bill every year any way. I'll buy a set of rabbit ears to watch American idol and the super bowl.

Murdoch is playing hardball and might get it broke off in his ass as a result.

Let's see him pay the FNC payroll with no cable revenue......

I listen to both sides ,but only the left does all the name calling. You guys need to grow up!

Show me any name calling in this post, twit.

Anyone with an IQ above 6 sees O'Reilly et.al. mimicked here daily.

Watch FNC in the evening and see it all regurgitated here the next day.

Just like the sun coming up....

I'm a combat vet and an Independent and have been called "terrorist, communist, socialist, Marxist," etc. more times than I can count by neocons.

So your "name-calling" charge against "Liberals" is totally baseless here.
