Pesky Frogs Hide in Alaska Christmas Trees

(AP)  Forget the plastic icicles, brightly colored balls and tinsel.

Some Christmas trees for sale in the Anchorage area come with something truly different this holiday season - live Pacific Chorus frogs.

While the small frogs may be cute, with moss-colored green sides and black spots, state officials are asking residents to practice some tough love: If you find a Christmas tree frog, kill it.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game says it's received two reports of Christmas tree frogs, including one found in a holiday tree from Washington state sold this week at an Anchorage nursery.

Officials say the problem is the frogs could be carrying viruses and funguses, including one that has been killing amphibians on several continents.

If Bush and Dick Chaney did not start the war we could of given 22.5 million to research why the frogs live in the tree. We then could also spend 42 million to study the reproductive cycle of the frog. Its all Bush and Chaney's fault. I am surprised Sara Palin is not in a helicopter trying to shoot them. Maybe she can trainer the frogs to kill the wolfs and she will be happy. I hope you like my sarcasm.

You can joke and you can giggle but forget the frogs. There is a disese killing bats by the thousands called, "White Nose Syndrome". Look it up on the internet..."What's that you say, "Big Deal". You bet it's a big deal, who do you think is eating and keeping the bug population down?" The research estimates ten million tons more of insects because of "White Nose Syndrome killing bats. Does the word plague ring a bell for ya?

You guys can joke all you want, but these lethal reptilians carry more than just viruses and funguses. Just last week a family of seven was killed in the French city of St. Nazaire when their Christmas tree erupted in flames. Why? Tiny green frogs with spots (sound familiar?) were living in the tree; when one of them inadvertently urinated on one of the Christmas lights, a short-circuit occurred and 'poof' instant French Fries. My question is this: Were the French behind this insidious anti-Christian and anti-Christmas and anti-Palin plot? How else would these ghastly frogs get to Alaska?

Kill the frogs? Oh, no! Has PETA heard about this? I would much rarher find some naked PETA chic on my tree than a frog. Wait, has anyone tried to give one a kiss. Might turn out to like, Prince Obama or some one like that from the kingdom of DC.
