Study: Women Get More Wrinkles Than Men

(CBS)  Mirror, mirror on the wall -- who has the most wrinkles of them all?

According to a new study, men win the wrinkle war. Women wrinkle more easily. According to a study in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, women had more wrinkles and deeper lines than their male counterparts. Their analysis attributes a woman's wrinkles woes to fewer sweat and sebaceous glands, fewer blood vessels, and a different muscle structure.

CBS News medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton said on "The Early Show" this is particularly the case around the mouth and nose for women. As women age, Ashton explained, the muscles pull in closer to the mouth, and cause wrinkles.

But what about shaving - does that make a difference?

Ashton said the study didn't address hair, but added there are theories that hair follicles give more structure to the skin.

So what can women do to avoid the onset of wrinkles?

Ashton recommended these tips:

• Avoid direct sun exposure.
• Don't smoke.
• No drastic weight loss.
• Plastic surgery.

I read somewhere in some oprah publication (or somewhere LIKE that) that by the age of 50, a female needs a good moisturizer, which should be worn daily to prevent and treat wrinkles.  Luckily for me, a co-worker in my office recommended the Shielo Complexion Moisturizer.

The Shielo Moisturizer is a great price for the quality of the ingredients, and I though "why not?" .
I tried many expensive creams. Nothing works like this one, just try for 1 month at least and you will see how your wrinkles get thinner and thinner.

I use it every other night on my forehead, after I noticed very fine lines criss-crossing my forehead. After one month, I noticed the fine lines on my forehead are completely GONE. My face looks 25 years old again. Amazing. I'm going to tackle my eyes next...

I have been using the Made from Earth Olive Night Creme for the last 4-5 years as my night cream. I am 42 years old and have virtually no wrinkles. I always moisten my face first with a spritz of water then emulsify the Olive Night Creme in the palm of my hand. It spreads easier all over face and neck. I also like to put it in my hair (small amount) after washing while still wet, then it combs out easily and makes my curls softer and shinier. It works great on dry hair (tiny amount rubbed in palms of hands) as defrizzer and shine booster. I also enjoy it as a hand/cuticle cream and lip balm. you can also use it as a female moisturizer or lubricant.

I love that it has no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Remember, honey is naturally antibacterial. I am sold for life! It is expensive at whole foods, but I sometimes see a deal on their website. I love this stuff and the jar does last quite a long time.

Premature wrinkles are a sign of long-term bad health habits...Gringas, lay off the booze and cigarettes, learn to cook instead of loading on junk food, drop the SUV and cell phone and WALK, foreign women don't plummet like you do for a reason. Stop blaming men for your hoary, mummy looking behinds.

Of course I don't have any wrinkles, but when or IF I do, it would most definitely be a man's fault. : )

Unintentionally funny headline.

"Study: Women Get More Wrinkles Than Men"

Could be read to mean they get more wrinkles than they get men.
