Obama Grades His Performance a "Solid B+"

(CBS/AP)  President Obama is giving himself "a good solid B-plus" grade for his first year in office.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired Sunday night, the president claimed progress on economic and international fronts.

Obama says the only thing that stands in the way of giving himself a better grade is that some elements of his agenda - health care reform and putting more Americans to work - remain undone.

On the ABC special "Christmas at the White House," Obama said "the biggest burden on me right now is that economic growth has happened, but job growth has not happened."

He sees as a plus the fact that the United States is pulling out of Iraq and says the U.S. is on the correct path in Afghanistan.

President Obama told "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft in an interview broadcast Sunday evening that the decision to send 30,000 more young Americans into harm's way in Afghanistan was "absolutely" the most difficult decision of his presidency to date.

He acknowledged the waning support for the ongoing war effort in the American public, and even among his fellow Democrats, but told Kroft, he believed it was, "the right thing to do. And that's my job. If I was worried about what polled well, there are a whole bunch of things we wouldn't have done this year."

I gave him a A for right now. It will take a little more time for the jobs to start up again. They are starting but slow. The reason is the Fat Cats, Congress, and the Senate is still doing business as usual. In the mean time only buy US products and you will start seeing the jobs come back sooner. Remember that the next time you are at Wal-Mart, Target, or getting ready to trade off your old car for a new car. That money will stay here is the US and not in a China bank account.

obama is so full of himself. so many people still jobless, many homeless, the national debt has skyrocketed with obama spending. he has not kept his campaign promises. obama is escalating the war. yet, he awards himself a B+? don't see it obama, don't see it at all. sure the democratic base gives obama a B, or even higher, but the democratic base is not the all of the nation. many independents, republicans voted for obama rather than run the risk of palin as potus what with mccain being a very old, old man.

Wow. If I had been allowed to grade myself while going through college I would have graduated with a 4.0 GPA! :) Unfortunately, your opinion of how well you are doing your job isn't the one that counts come payday. It's you boss's opinion, in this case the 52+% that voted President Obama into office. We already know what the others think. So I suppose the only realy way to get an honest grade would be to ask those that voted for Obama "If the election were held today, would you vote for Barak Obama for President of the United States?" If the answer is no, then he leaves office & the Vice President takes over. Sort of like a vote of "no confidence".

Sorry I give him a A. So I would vote for him again. Thing is I don't belong to any party. Also some people are never satified so I think if that is the case then they need to run for office and see how long they last.

Well considering you are not eligible to be the President because you get an "I" because you have no eligibility in the first place making everything null and void. Obama deceived the American People; he deceived Oprah too. Obama's one goal is to destroy our Constitution piece by piece so he can overthrow America to become the dictator of the world. Obama is a Communist and Marxist. How did the Democratic party nominate a Communist to their party? How did they nominate someone who was not eligible? This country needs another party who will put the constitution first; not big insurance co.
