Iran: We'd Agree to U.N. Nukes Proposal

(AP)  Iran is ready to exchange the bulk of its stockpile of enriched uranium for nuclear fuel rods — as proposed by the U.N. — but according to its own mechanisms and timetable, the foreign minister said Saturday.

Speaking to reporters at a regional security conference in Bahrain, Manochehr Mottaki said Iran agreed with a U.N. deal proposed in October in which up to 2,600 pounds (1,200 kilograms) of its uranium would be exchanged for fuel rods to power its research reactor.

"We accepted the proposal in principle," he said through a translator. "We suggested in the first phase we give you 400 kilograms of 3.5 percent enriched uranium and you give us the equivalent in 20 percent uranium."

Iran has about 3,300 pounds (1,500 kilograms) of low-enriched uranium and needs to refine to 20 percent to operate a research reactor that produces medical isotopes.

The U.S. and its allies fear that if Iran continues to develop its uranium-enriching process, it could eventually develop material for a nuclear weapon, a charge Tehran denies.

The International Atomic Energy Agency proposed in October that Iran ship its uranium out of the country to be further refined by France and Russia and turned into fuel rods, which cannot be turned into weapons.

Iran has been giving mixed signals over the deal, including several statements from lawmakers rejecting it outright.

Mottaki maintained, however, that a clear answer had been given involving the simultaneous exchange of uranium for fuel in stages.

"We gave a clear answer and we responded and our answer was we accepted in principle but there were differences in the mechanism," he said, suggesting the exchange take place on Iran's Kish island, in the Persian Gulf.

The scary thing about Iran is that logic is not a factor in decision making by the government. They would fight the world power and be obliterated with perhaps having small military successes here and there. But all in all...Vegas is paying 1,000,000 to 1 on Iran winning a military war. Yet, they strive for a nuke, and would welcome such an attack. This reminds me of the hi-jackers on 9/11....they were committed enough to fly the planes into buildings believing that their sacrifice was worth it. Iran can do MUCH MORE HARM than the 9/11 terrorists. Time to deal with them ASAP.

IRANIAN STALLING TACTICS CONTINUE TO DECEIVE THE WESTERN FREE WORLD

"All that is needed for evil to triumph,
is for good people to do nothing."

We charge our Western World leaders with:

1. failing to eliminate extreme danger, and the most serious threat to all mankind since that of Hitler and the Nazis in the 1930s and 1940s

2. wasting precious time with useless diplomacy

3. seriously jeopardizing our and our children's future

We call upon our leaders to take immediate, pre-emptive action against CONTINUING Iranian military, Iranian nuclear, Iranian biological, and against Iranian chemical weapons build-up.

If the forgoing is not clear enough...

We call upon ALL Western Free World Leaders to take immediate and THOROUGH, PREVENTATIVE MILITARY action to eliminate and destroy Iran's INCREMENTALLY DESTRUCTIVE CAPABILITIES...

...which THE CURRENT ISLAMOFASCIST/ISLAMOCENTRIC IRANIAN REGIME will soon apply against us and against non-Moslems.
Aren't you leaders with insight and wisdom, or what?!

THE CURRENT IRANIAN REGIME CONTINUES TO DECEIVE THE WESTERN WORLD,
WHILE GOING 'FULL SPEED AHEAD' TO DEVELOP NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR JIHAD

If there is one bottom line that best describes the current Iranian regime's 'holy/godly' purpose, it is to usher in, facilitate, speed up,
and/or to precipitate the Mahdi's return.

Q:
Who/what is the Mahdi?

A:
The Mahdi, or the 12th Imam is the equivalent of Messiah or Savior - the Moslem version.

Achmadinejad, along with his 'religious purpose' and his 'belief' (via his and other Iranian leaders' religiously-delusional mindsets), must accomplish said Mahdi's arrival AT ALL COST.

A world conflagration - nuclear holocaust and all - would satisfy Iranian leaders' 'religious purpose' and 'belief'. Those all-consuming, nuclear white heat flashes would qualify as perfect for that 'end-of-the-world' scenario which would signal the beginning of Mr Mahdi's perfect, strict Moslem law and order rule to straighten out mankind.

THE CURRENT ISLAMOFASCIST/ISLAMOCENTRIC IRANIAN REGIME CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED

Make no mistake about it. When religiously delusional Achmadinejad and the Ayatollahs feel powerful enough or 'good and ready', they will move ahead with their plans. Islamocentrism is the only real and true standard for the entire world. Others and their beliefs must be suppressed and replaced with Islam.

If the Western Free World wishes to remain free, it must act without further delay to intercept, eliminate and destroy Iranain nuclear capabilities, by coordinated and thorough military action. Nothing short of full military action will stop the current, religiously-delusional, Iranian regime's 'holy/godly' purpose of creating the conditions for World War III, and the required 'end-of-the-world' scenario that will pave the way for Mr Mahdi's arrival.

REFERENCE TO HISTORY AND WORLD WAR II MUST BE MADE

Some seventy years ago, our inaction permitted and encouraged the rise of Fascism and a military build-up for which we paid dearly, and from which many millions still hurt and suffer to this very day.

Fortunately, that Central European fascist regime did not have nuclear weapons.
THE CURRENT ISLAMOFASCIST/ISLAMOCENTRIC IRANIAN REGIME SOON WILL.

We still have time - but not much - to prevent...

...THE DARKEST TIMES IN MANKIND'S HISTORY, and this time we'll have to face a fascist regime with NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

"Tool,
read Amadinijhads comments on the 12th Imam.
I can't help suicide nutjobs with reason."

Ahmadamnutjob can issue all the Jihadist rhetoric he wishes, but he has protestors in the streets at this hour calling for his overthrow.
If they believe that he is about to attempt martyrdom using their bodies, they will stop him 'dead...
(Martyrdom is Ok if it is 'MY' idea) that is the sentiment of today.

The problem with Iran is that they think the United States is the "Great Satan." A nuke detonated on US soil would be HEAVILY rewarded by Allah...so they think. The problem with this thinking is that they are deciding first who and what the US is. Secondly, they are telling you that Iran will be the ones to smite the US. The question is folks.... IF Allah is all powerful, why doesn't he level the US himself? Religion and politics DO NOT MIX! It doesn't matter what religion or state you choose....it is a war on personal beliefs and values. At least in the US you have freedom of religion. This too however will all be done away with because of the problems that religion is causing to Peace and Security and for the bloodguilt and culpability of religion in general.

Who are you talking about when you speak for Iran? The citizens or the government?

Sorry, Pete...I should have made that clearer. The Government!

Yahweh is Hebrew for the Almighty God. The tetragrammetan is YHWH. The a and e are guesses as to what the pronunciation should be like. Allah is not Yahweh. Yahweh is Jehovah. Psalms 83:18 Yeshua is Jesus.

And theocracies are undemocratic. A war between a secular republic and a theocracy is a war of values, and the secular republic is correct.

I suppose a lot of unhappy fringe types can find common-cause with Jihad. The old-school Jew-hating isolationists; Marxists of all varieties that worry about military costs but are prepared to spend as much or more on social engineering; true Jihadists in not-quite-subtle disguise; and of course anarchists, whether of the anti-government, anti-private property, or simple mental illness type.

Congratulations to you all. Nothing can be done for you, of course. And the ones who most need their meds won't take them.

You don't have have a common cause with jihad to see Israel as one of our welfare states which has one hand out for our US money while using the other to thumb its nose at us.

If they would simply learn to behave themselves instead of acting however they please and making us look implicit, it wouldn't be so much of a problem.

They are an "empire" the size of New Jersey. They are a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the Near East. They are the closest thing to a secular republic the region has ever known. In the absence of Arab fascism, Israel would be nothing more than a tourist trap with beaches on the Mediterranean. But that's not how the feudal regimes that engage in Jihad see it, and their own world view is shaken by the West's resistance.

i wouldn't believe anything the leaders of iran say. they are hellbent on getting nuclear weapons so that they can bring harm to our nation and to isreal and use them to dominate the moddle east. And obama is a pansy, obama is so weak he is just letting them go ahead with it. that jsut shows obama does not care about our nation, he doesn't want to do whatever it takes to protect us.
