(AP)  Ignoring his younger brother's plea of "Andrew, stop," a 17-year-old who told authorities he identified with a television serial killer strangled the boy, dragged the body to his car and drove to see his girlfriend, an Indiana prosecutor said Thursday.

Andrew Conley of Rising Sun was calm and showed no remorse or emotion as he described strangling 10-year-old Conner Conley as the two wrestled Sunday, a probable cause affidavit said. Conley told investigators he dumped his brother's body near a park in the Ohio River community about 90 miles southeast of Indianapolis.

"Sometimes people are just evil," Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard said. "This is an evil child."

Prosecutors filed preliminary charges of murder against Conley along with a supporting affidavit Thursday. Conley is being charged as an adult and will appear Friday in court, Negangard said.

Conley's family did not immediately return messages for comment Thursday. Negangard said Conley had an attorney but none was listed in the affidavit.

The teen told investigators he had had fantasies about killing someone since he was in eighth grade, including cutting somebody's throat, and felt "just like" the serial killer Dexter on the Showtime television series of the same name. He said killing his brother satisfied a craving like a hamburger satisfied hunger.

"Like I had to ... like when people have something like they are hungry and there is a hamburger sitting there and they knew they had to have it and I was sitting there and it just happened," Conley told investigators in the affidavit.

The slaying comes six weeks after 15-year-old Alyssa Bustamante told Missouri authorities she strangled, stabbed and cut a 9-year-old neighbor's throat because she wanted to know what it was like to kill someone.

The affidavit in Conley's case described him killing his brother before visiting his girlfriend and other friends. It said:

The two brothers were wrestling while their parents were at work. Conley put Conner in a headlock, causing the younger boy to pass out and fall to the floor. Conley dragged Conner to kitchen, put on a pair of gloves and choked the younger boy for about 20 minutes until he noticed blood flowing from Conner's nose and mouth.

He told investigators the child's last words were "Andrew, stop."

Conley put a plastic bag over his brother's head, secured it with black electrical tape, and dragged the body by its feet down steps to the basement and then from the home to his car. Conley struck Conner's head on the ground several times before putting the body in the trunk of the car.

With the body still in the trunk, Conley drove to his girlfriend's house and gave her a sweetheart ring. She told investigators Conley "seemed happy, more happy than she had seen him in a while."

Negangard said he will consider seeking the maximum prison term of life without parole. Conley's age makes him ineligible for the death penalty.

"I believe Andrew Conley is a dangerous person, and that's why we'll be considering the maximum penalty that we can impose," Negangard said.

Conley also told investigators that on the morning of Conner's death, he stood over his sleeping father with a knife and thought about killing him. Conley went to police Sunday night, admitted killing Conner and told investigators where to find the body.

The teen had no juvenile record and his teachers considered him a good student, Negangard said.

"This kid, Conner, was a good kid, and Andrew was an A and B student," he said. "This comes as a shock to the community."

Conley has been held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Lawrenceburg but was to be moved Thursday night to the Switzerland County Jail in Vevay.

Many (not all) of these responders are missing so many points. If God (or the absence of God in his life), the Devil, pornography, TV, bad parenting, the Biblical prophecies, Dexter, an evil bad seed or something else made the seventeen year-old kill his brother, then the seventeen year old is an innocent victim of some larger impetus, a medium for an inevitable evil act. Myself, I reckon that he had choices and made a really, really bad choice, that he represents a continuing danger to himself and to all of us and that he should be removed (for the rest of his life) from having the capacity to either make some lame excuse (people on this comment list are doing that for him) or to do more harm. It is a heartbreaking situation. I pray for the parents, the victim(s) and the community but it is silly to see this aberrant act, however inexplicable, even evil, as the responsibility of anybody but the perpetrator. It is equally silly to see the act as part of some larger inevitability....except for the fact that the human species (exclusively) has been killing and otherwise harming one another and other species for sport (recreation, curiosity, jealousy, personal enrichment, property etc.) since the beginning of time. We are flawed. All of us. Walt Whitman said "It is a sad and a beautiful world." He was correct.

Hi,
Violence and killing, murders and evil, especially on this fashion is not human, rather, it's demonic. I know of a book that describes this kind of thing to the letter. Notice in the article how the boy said,

The 17-year-old told investigators strangling his 10-year-old little brother satisfied a craving like a hungry person eating a hamburger.

The part, --craving like a hungry person eating a hamburger.-- --- in the book, The Deceit of Lucifer written by an Ohio Pastor named Reverend Angley - in which he uncovers the deceit of the devil which appear in many forms. I've read this book, and the murders and the violence of today reflect the end-time signs we are living in. This book describes what we're seeing to the letter, and I might add importantly that there's scriptures from the Bible to back it all up, noting that the author is not forming his own opinion, but takes it from the Holy Bible. Take note of all the killings of children, adults and anyone and everyone: husbands murdering their wives, children their parents, total strangers, Fort Hood, serial killers heard about everyday - it's a daily thing, kids going into schools killing students, teachers, and it goes on and on. One area of the book speaks of how when demons possess people, the people become whatever the demons are. There are different kinds of demons, in this case, the demons were murdering devils which took the boy over. When there's no God in the home, no truth taught from God's word, and no Godly discipline, and children are allowed to do whatever they want with no Godly discipline, then that leaves the door for the devil wide open. Why is America so unbelieving about devils? It's all in the bible, and what is happening now in America in a huge way is talked about in the bible as a description of how the end-times would be; it's all there. And guess what America, it's going to get worse and worse, that's what the Bible says; these are not my words. Our only safety is in Jesus Christ, our only true help is in God, turning to Him, yielding to his truth and living holy and righteous. I suggest reading this book, I really had my eyes and understanding opened in this book. I was very alarmed at this story - it really made me think of the book and what I read in it and how exacting this Pastor, author is about how the devil works. Thank you for listening.

On one side of the coin we have Andrew?s parents, who belong to that group of parents that are simply incompetent. They were too busy minding their own business, to pay any attention to what their little son was doing. The net result is that after being exposed to pornography and to violent and bloody video games for years, Andrew turned into a monster, into an evil young man.

On the other side of the coin we have the pornography pushers, and the computer programmers and the executives of the video games companies. They sure are enjoying the tons of money they made poisoning the mind of children and young people.

The Bible says that no man is good EXCEPT God be in him. We're talking willful sin - meaning you do something you know is a sin. The devil is the master of bringing thoughts to the mind, but through God, we can be overcomers - that is, if we have God, and not a form of godliness as the bible states. If you fast, meaning do don't eat and just drink water, have you broken your fast if you "think" of food - no, you were just tempted. The devil, if you've read in the bible, was tempted by the devil, and in another place in the bible it says, in ALL POINTS he was tempted, yet, without sin. Jesus is our example, and He came to set the example. Jesus said that a person HAS TO BE Born Again to see the kingdom of God, and He said unless ye all repent, ye would all likewise perish. These are the words of Jesus.

No, I'm saying that inspite of faith/moral/values--Out of the human heart come...murders, etc.(Matt.15:19) Also, in Scripture we read "A person's thoughts are evil from childhood. (Gen.8:21) We all might want to read "Lord, of the Flies" Hate, resentment, jealous these feelings are in the hearts of all human beings; even religious people.

Some people are just born evil. I agree, this "thing" should be locked away for the rest of his life. He showed absolutely no remorse or feeling about what he did. In a case like this, there is no one to blame. This is a case of nature overpowering nurture. Grieve with the parents as they have lost both of their children and they will never get them back.

Question: where are the parents in all of this?

I highly doubt this was the first time this POS did something violent to his brother or other family member.
