(CBS/ AP)  Nothing was found in bodies of water near the Jupiter home where four family members were fatally shot on Thanksgiving.

Police said early Wednesday morning that the search on Tuesday turned up nothing. Authorities are still searching for the suspect, Paul Merhige, who hasn't been seen since the shootings. Authorities also broadcast new photos of him to help in the search.

Police say Merhige killed four relatives - a 6-year-old girl, his 79-year-old aunt and his twin sisters, one of whom was pregnant. A public funeral service will be held Saturday for the girl.

It's not clear exactly who was shot when, but the bloodbath could have been worse with 16 family members present.

Prosecutors issued an arrest warrant Saturday.

Merhige told family members he had been waiting 20 years to kill them, the father of one of the victims said Tuesday.

"He had this whole thing preplanned. His goal was to shoot his sisters and punish his parents," said Jim Sitton, Merhige's cousin-in-law who was at the home of the shootings along with 16 other relatives.

Here we have another killer using a gun to kill others. It is very likely that this was a legally owned gun. Guns are designed to kill people. That's why so many are killed with them and so few saved.

Massacre?
Mass killing, multiple murders, but massacre?
Little big horn was a massacre.
4 dead people hardly qualifies as a massacre or our troops would have been massacred in Iraq and Afghanistan a thousand times.
Where do they get those idiot writers and who lets them print that dribble?

The definition of "massacre" doesn't have a minimum number of people killed needed to qualify as a massacre. I know what you mean though because a massacre is the killing of a large number of people. But that term means different things to different people even under the same circunstances. For example, for the surviving relatives of the dead losing 4 family members in one incident is a massacre.

For the love of God, just once, can we refrain from the same old stupid, pointless arguments about gun control? Can't we just hope this maniac is caught and prosecuted, and leave the endless and unwinnable arguments about guns somewhere else?

The victims were killed with a gun. Talking about gun control won't be inappropiate. 30,000 are killed with them each year, close to 100,000 wounded, plus close to a million gun-related crimes per year. We don't control guns very well. If anything, we should talk about gun control more rather than less. Specially in cases like this one.

If he had murder 4 cops instead he'd be found and gunned down by now. He's not important to find right.

Dont worry, this guy has a date with a bullet
from some 'lone' police officers gun who is gonna
stumble on him while he sleeps in his car next
to the old railroad track.

This officer will fire shots then call for backup
for the 'suspect'. Just like they did earlier this
week upstate.

The public will speculate on the 'real' story.

This must be this weeks shooting. There is a new one every week! Woohoo! NRA forever! But hey, if those stupid family members had been armed, this would not have happened......right?
