Party Crasher's Charity: More Questions

The Journey for the Cure Foundation run by Tareq and Michaele Salahi spent more money on office supplies in 2008 than charitable donations according to documents the foundation filed with the Commonwealth of Virginia and obtained by CBS News.

The Salahis have been accused of crashing the White House State Dinner on November 24th and have been asked to testify at a House Homeland Security Committee hearing tomorrow which will examine the security breach. The committee says the couple has neither confirmed or denied they will attend.

JFC Charity Balance Sheet

The charity reported taking in $19,098.91 in donations in 2008 and giving $690 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and $20 to the US Navy Memorial Fund. But the foundation reported it spent $819 on office supplies.

In 2008, the foundation spent $7,200 for "professional fees", $5,300 for "travel" and $5,823 on "Fundraising and Meals" according to records filed with the Commonwealth of Virginia. The couple's non-profit also spent over $1200 on "bank fees" for their small charity.

Calls to Susan Dove, the Treasurer of the foundation were not returned. The phone number listed on the charity's registration form rings to a fax machine and a fax received no response. The voice mail box at the Salahi home is full and Tareq Salahi did not respond to an email.

Salahi attorney Paul Gardner did not return a phone call but an attorney who is now representing Gardner, Mark Dycio, returned a call saying that Gardner himself now needs legal representation since the Salahis mentioned him in a recent interview.

Citing layers of legal representation Dycio said, "It's thick."

The Salahi's new attorney did not respond to requests for comment.

The Journey for the Cure Foundation set up by the Salahis is said to benefit from the Salahi's event, America's Polo Cup.

In a Youtube video promoting the tournament, Tareq Salahi told a production company, "Journey for the Cure charity comes in and they provide funding to these different charities that we support and we do direct and indirect funding."

The Washington Post reported that the Salahis gave in-kind wine donations to charitable organizations in previous years.

The Washington Post also reported that many of America's Polo Cup sponsors listed for the event on the tournament's website say they are not sponsors. Kate Robbins, an event fundraiser, told the Post that she raised $225,000 for the polo event but says she was never paid. Vendors for America's Polo Cup have also filed multiple lawsuits against the Salahis.

The purpose of the foundation listed on the most recent records with the state is, "Support organizations and individuals, families and patients that are stricken with diseases, to include but not be limited to, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Leukemia and Lymphoma."

IRS records show the charity received its non-profit status in 2006.

Today the White House posted new guidelines for guests.

I wish to repeat a question that I have posed on many major sites over the last week: What is the current status of the Gatecrasher case? Has the case been dropped? Is there any way for the American people insofar as these individuals went before our elected officials for questioning that we get some kind of update? This was evidently more that a prank or if that is what it was please give us closure.

There has been plenty of suspicion but where is the follow up? I am wondering what the next step is for them.

What is the status of the Gate Crasher case? The last event was a hearing in Congress where they stood on the Fifth. It was then reported that a Grand Jury would convene. What is the latest?

As a professional freelance writer, American citizen and taxpayer concerned with the continuous safety of our nation subsequent to the attack on our soil in 2001, I believe I have the right to throw up a toss up question for Congress when they probe the gatecrashers. This question is direct and will not enable them to invoke their Fifth Amendment rights because it does not incriminate them. The question is this: "Please enumerate every occasion within the last 40 years that you have been present under the same roof perhaps attending a function or for any reason whereas Barack Obama was also present within 100 feet of you". Follow up would be "For each occasion that you have cited. please give us an account of your activities at the time, especially any organizations you belonged to for each occurrence, from what sources you derived income and if you filed for such income with the Internal Revenue Service. " Please give us a complete history of any activity such as roles or agents hired in the entertainment business. People, do you remember when Americans used to say that at least Bush kept us safe after 911? We have had quite a few incidents recently so just to tamper things down, I suggest that we go into these hearings in a firm manner and do not pull punches.

All I have to say having covered this story as a freelance writer from the moment it was revealed is "What exactly is going on here?. In the article above these two individuals seem to be involved in a few business ventures subject to pending or current litigation however no where have I seen anywhere in print or on the Internet any mention of an acting credit. Did these two mature individuals conclude that their destiny was the world of reality shows or any entertainment vocation at their stage in life with no show business credentials that I have seen. Their cable company would not be allowed to photograph federal facilities anyway. They e-mailed the Pentagon a few times and got responses. In the event that these two did TV, it could be My Little Margie or Boston Blackie and the tapes got lost, like the dead cell phone battery. Was it Rosemary Woods who could not work the tape recorder?

We should just lock up the Salahis and through away the keys. They are both despicable people who have engaged in despicable and illegal acts.

So now a DOD official from Robert Gates? office readily admits to being close personal friends with a Palestinian Lobbyist? What other secrets and favors did she do for them? Tareq Salahi is a board member for the ATFP - the American Task Force on Palestine. Rashid Khalidi is a VP of the organization. As soon as this story broke, the ATFP scrubbed all mention of Tareq's affiliation with the organization from their website, but there are screen shots out there of the google cache that prove this fact.

Rashid Khalidi was a representative of the PLO when it was recognized by the US government as a terror organization. He threw a fundraiser for Obama in Chicago when Obama was running for congress. He taught at the University of Chicago when Obama was teaching there and was a neighbor of theirs.

Considering that Obama denies being friendly with Khalidi, it seems that Rashid Khalidi?s affiliations seem to be popping up all over in the White House.

Why do the Obamas want to keep Desiree Rogers' office out of the congressional testimony, citing ?separation of powers?? She was part and parcel of this fiasco. Perhaps because they don't want to have to fire their friend who possibly had someone from her staff wave them in. Or, possibly they don?t want to make it appear that their entire staff is incompetent and in bed with Palestinians with terror networks a heartbeat away from them.

I?ve been to Presidential parties. There is a strict protocol involved. To blame the secret service is easy because they are holdovers from the Bush administration.

There are publicists in the New York party circuit that do a much better job than Desiree Rogers keeping out uninvited guests.

This is a cover up with lame excuses by the Obama administration to cover for their and their appointees associations that they patently deny.

CBS, you can do a much better job of reporting the facts and the relationships that this administration is trying to cover up! This is much more than a simple party crash. It?s POTUS AND OUR ENTIRE LINE OF SUCCESSION THAT WAS IN THAT TENT!
