Report: Navy Seals Abused Valuable Suspect

By
CBSNews
(CBS)  Three Navy Seals face court-martial for allegedly abusing a terrorist suspect in detention, according to a report on Fox News.

The man accused as the mastermind behind the bloody killings of four defense contractor security guards told investigators he was beaten by the soldiers while in captivity, Fox reports.

The three men, Special Warfare Operators 2nd Class (SO2) Matthew McCabe and Jonathan Keefe, and SO1 Julio Huertas, all requested to be tried by court-martial, Fox reports.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, the terrorist suspect, had evaded U.S. capture until September for the 2004 murders of Blackwater USA employees.

According to a statement obtained by Fox News, one of the Seals said he checked on Abed hours after he was taken into custody and "he appeared in good health."

Who are the spineless advocates of these prosecutions who apparently do not appreciate their freedoms secured by our serving military and veterans? In simpler language for CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, and MSNBS, who are those who look at this story and yawn? Who are the individuals in our Navy, Pentagon, or Defense Department who are kicking our troops in the teeth or who stab them in the back with indignant politics? Where is our new President and our new Congress? Elected officials, where is your backbone? This is a grave threat to our American national security and to the welfare of our U.S. Armed Forces. Whoever is behind this insane, suicidal, prosecution should be removed from office immediately and prosecuted themselves for giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. This goes for whoever approved it and whoever approved the approval all the way up the chain of command. This preposterous game, in which we give a terrorist a forum to recruit and even offer training to his fellow animals around the world, must be stopped immediately.

Stop and think about it, you rather Pelosi, Harry Reid, and their limp wristed cocktail sipping ilk protecting you? I am so furious right now and so disappointed in the stinking Barney Frank crowd in Washington. Why do we put up with this garbage?

These Seals did nothing wrong and I will gladly -- I repeat, gladly -- donate to their defense fund. I'd say all three of the Seals deserve a medal.

Outrageous! In the Corporate World, a change of command results in a finace dept. overhaul, not so in the military arena. A change in Commander in Chief in our government, results in a huge "cover your Ass" mantra among the chain of command in the military to align with the agenda of the New President. Obama needs to read the "Art of War". The terrorists are not about to begin playing by his "agenda", they throw bombs, murder and drag tourmented dead bodies through their cheering, crowded streets. Obama is throwing confetti at the world terrorists, and bombs at his own military. What will result? 1. The military will become ineffective as they align with Obama's self-rightous agenda and public profile. 2. There's no incentive to bring any prisoners in, much less alive. Any other SEALs or military service might question: why put my life on the line and be subjected to discredit when the Commander in Chief doesn't support their efforts. If you are fighting a dirty war, you play by the tactics of the opponents if you're going to win that dirty war. Dirty opponents calls for dirty tactics if you expect to out-strategize and win over the terrorist. It calls for a tactical terrorist defense. The terrorist prisoner is using our fool-hardy regulations against our military to their advantage. Stand by your military or the military will walk away and become ineffective. You can't win a war with terrorists by expecting to change THEIR methodology. Terrorist methods have been in force a lot longer than the U.S.A. has existed or we wouldn't be here in the first place in 2009!
I never thought I'd ever come close to reconsidering Bush's military methods, but throwing confetti at the world terrorists, disintegrating our own military hero's, disempowering our military, certainly calls for some review. How many ways can you say, the U.S. is in trouble? This spells it out in real time.

What a travesty! If the roles were reversed and Navy Seals had been captured by terrorists, they would be undergoing real torture right now... This is why radical islam thinks that they can win the war on terror, The U.S. and especially this administration doesn't have the stomach to do what it takes to win...

I say prosecute the ones responsible for the charges against our Navy Seals!!!

If this administration really wants to change their "weak on terrorism" and pc image, they should find out exactly where these charges came from and prosecute them instead of our Navy Seals!!!

Sadly, this will never happen...

I don't understand!!! Our government/ military wants to court marshall our Navy Seals, for minor infractions??? You hear about acts of violence, in the name of Islam, everyday! Then, a Muslim terrorist guns down over 30 people in Texas and people worry about other Muslims!!! Our own president won't even say the word terrorist. He goes on an apology tour to all Muslim countries... He selects a legal defender of terrorists to be our Attorney General... This same person, Eric Holder, then goes on to try and discredit our CIA, which tries to keep us safe from these very same Muslim terrorists... The president orders his administration not to call a terrorist a terrorist! Our Homeland Security director rushes to assure Muslim countries that we are working hard to ensure that there won't be a backlash against Muslims, instead of assuring the American population that they are working hard to ensure another terrorist attack doesn't happen here!!!! One of B.O.'s priorities is to close GITMO, where we send terrorists. Now, these prisoners are provided with Qur'ans and allowed to pray five times a day, when they perpetrated their violence in the name of the very same religion??? He calls water boarding torture and won't allow enhanced interrogation methods.... Is a terrorist more important than American lives??? Now, we even read Miranda rights to captured enemy Muslim combatants! I don't understand!!!

Whose side is our president on????

We now know the names of 3 of our most elite soldiers. How ironic that 1 is from Yorktown, the place our nation began it's battle with tyranny . Now please let us know who made the decision to court-martial these men. Or better yet,let the cowards come forward and defend their actions.Names please.

Release them? Let's do more than that for those brave fellows... Let's come-up with a new medal... Maybe borrow the blindfolded POW from the black and white "POW/MIA" flag, and photoshop-in 4 Navy Seals beating the crap out of him.
.
We can add the caption "Torturing the helpless... an American tradition since 9/11/2001".
