Man Killed Puppy over Steelers Game

By
CBSNews
(AP)  Police say a western Pennsylvania man told them he kicked his girlfriend's puppy to death because he was upset that the pit bull wouldn't behave before the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Twenty-two-year-old William Woodson, of Bridgeville, remained jailed Monday on a charge of animal cruelty.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazettes reports that a witness told police that Woodson was kicking the dog down the street shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, which is when the football game began. Police say Woodson was supposed to be taking the pit bull for a walk, but the animal resisted. By the time police arrived, the puppy was dead.

Police say Woodson didn't like the dog and was upset that his live-in girlfriend bought it.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Woodson.

Wow! They just ran a story about Animal Sacrifice in Nepal, and the comment page was BLANK!! Not one negative comment! A puppy gets killed here in the US, and you animal rights activists a ready to string the suspect up.

There's a difference between animal sacrifice, which is usually associated with both religious and cultural connotations, and .. kicking a dog to death because he didn't like it. A pretty big difference.

There's an old saying that goes something like this: "One tends to treat their children the way they treat their pets."

If you look around at folks you know with both children and pets..... very often you will see the saying rings true.

This is not about yer son but about the killing of a puppy..Mind ye lady/gent.As a parent it is yer job to teach yer boy right from wrong. And keep yer meds out the children's paws. Yer that pissed ,then yer abled bodied so where were ye, I am legally blind and I have the common sense to properly never allow others access to my meds. Back to the puppy..there are breeds that are banned..It is the master/mistress that in in control of his/her dog. If was not his dog to abuse. The girlfriend had to know thst bringing a puppy in the home was not going to work out. I have seen mean little dogs as well..I was walking up to Safeway and there were a mean little dog going by the sound of its growl. It was on the other side of the street. I am aware dogs do attck people. Even the family dog can.

Skreeww all of you. The creep killed a f'ing dog. You wanna fix something? Fix the laws that allow you to hide in someone's home, break into a cabinet , steal prescription drugs, give them to my son and leave him to die without medical help. AND YOU CAN'T BE PROSECUTED. Grow up and the Heel with dogs. IDIOTS.

Why didn't your son have the intelligence to refuse to take prescription drugs? Everybody wants to blame somebody else.

Your son, like this dog, learned a valuable lesson and both are unlikely to repeat their mistakes.

Wow! I'd like to know what the girlfirned things of this guy now. She'll probably stay with him. Anyone who is willing to kill a puppy is bad news period. Perhaps William Woodson of Bridgeville, PA would better understand this being on the other end. Now he's in jail. Now you're known as William Woodson puppy killer. You should be ashamed of yourself. I know I am ashamed of you.

Really? I am a woman, and no woman that I know would even be around an a$$hole like this! Perhaps you should learn to choose your friends more wisely!

It was just a puppy! Thats just like people who abuse and end up killing children! This man should be trialed just as a child abuser or murderer would! People like him make me sick! And his girlfriend is just as guilty she knew he didnt want the dog and he must have abused it on a daily basis before he killed hm she could of prevented it all!

A pit bull is not a dog, it is a monster. A baby monster will grow into an adult monster. I bet none of you would feel this way if he killed the beast after it grew up and ate a baby! Pit bulls should be classified as weapons. They have been bred for fighting and killing. They have no other purpose. I am an animal lover and own a dog myself, but if I see a pit bull crossing the street, I aim for it. Those things should be banned and every one killed. If it were any other breed I would be outraged, but in this case, give the man a comendation not a condemnation.

You are so ignorant! Not all pit bulls are dangerous. it's the owners who are so stupid and trains them to be figthers. I know several pit bulls and they are so sweet. One of them passed away at age of 17 years old. It is not the dogs, it is the owners who are stupid and ingorants. Therefore you are so stupid.
