Palin Book Sells Big In First Week

(AP)  Sarah Palin appears well on her way to becoming a million-selling author.

"Going Rogue" sold 700,000 copies - a number that includes pre-orders - in its first week of release, according to a publishing official close to the former Alaska governor. The official was not authorized to release the sales figure and asked not to be identified.

Palin's memoir came out Nov. 17 with a first printing of 1.5 million copies. On Friday, publisher HarperCollins announced that the printing would be increased to 2.5 million.

Few nonfiction books have debuted so well. In 2004, Bill Clinton's "My Life" sold more than 900,000 copies in its first week.

I was just at a bookstore yesterday. The book was prominently displayed, with 40% off. Never seen a book so heavily discounted right at the open. LOL

What book store was that?

Regardless of her qualifications for office, the GOP needs to answer the nagging question. They have left women behind in politics. The unemployment stats tell the picture. 5% married women are unemployed vs 7% married men. 8% unmarried women are unemployed vs 11% unmarried men. And the ratio of married vs WDS vs NeverMarried is 5:1:4. Put that altogether. Marriage IS sacred in the U.S. Women are likewise blessed by social norm even more than the present power structure. If you set upright that unspoken social formula for even one term, you let the political growth of the country take a major correction. Let the legislature and courts balance any imbalance.

I would never vote for her and don't hate her but she's far from ever being qualified to run for office, the book will be selling at the Dollar Store soon.

She is more qualified than the guy that is in office.
