Does anybody remember the old movie intermission short that sings the song, "Let's all go to the lobby to get ourselves a treat!"

Popcorn and other snacks you buy in movie theaters are just that: TREATS!

Treats are something that you eat on special occasions. You don't eat them every day. Nobody ever intended people to eat popcorn every day. It was never advertised as such.

It makes no sense to say things about popcorn unless somebody is doing it to attract attention to themselves.

I go to the movies maybe once a month...i share a popcorn and drink a Diet Coke. I'm really getting sick of the food police telling me what I can't eat...even in moderation.
