Breaking up is hard to do, especially when you are in the public eye.

(CBS)  Robin Wright Penn's flowing blonde hair is no longer. Also gone from her life: her married name.

The actress, who is now going by Robin Wright, debuted a much darker 'do at a screening of her upcoming film, "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee," Sunday night in Los Angeles. It's the latest of many changes the actress has gone through recently.

On Aug. 12, 2009, Wright filed for divorce from her famous husband, fellow actor Sean Penn. The two had filed divorce papers twice before - once in December 2007 and again in April 2009 - but patched things up both times. This time around, the actress said she has no plans to reconcile.

"I hit that crossroad a while ago," Wright said in an interview published in More magazine's September issue. "I know what I don't want."

The actress is also dealing with losing another Penn - her daughter, 18-year-old Dylan Frances, is going off to college. And son Hopper Jack, 16, isn't too far behind.

"At least twice a week, I pull over and sob” she told the magazine. “My baby is leaving. It’s an emotionally full time, but it’s not sad. I can’t wait for Dylan to go [out and] live. That’s what makes me cry.”

Wright has also changed her address. In the 1990s, the Penns moved to Marin County, Calif., six hours north of Los Angeles, to be away from the Hollywood madness while they raised their children. Now, she's moved out of that home and set up house down in Los Angeles, where her daughter goes to school.

Telling Redbook magazine that her emotions around the divorce are like "high tide, low tide," she adds that she's enjoying "unpeeling" her new life.

"I have a feeling…it's the unpeeling that's guiding me," she said.

Who cares? Maybe she got sick of Sean's whacko left wing agenda.
