CBS News correspondent Ashley Morrison reports the alleged plot involves a photograph of Crawford's 8-year-old daughter in what's been described as a prank picture.
Crawford no longer struts the cat walk, but she's still a cover girl with one of the most recognized faces in the world, and a wife and mother.

Her daughter, Morrison says, is wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the photo, seen bound to a chair and gagged. The photo allegedly fell into the hands of Edis Kayalar, a suspect in the case.
Federal court documents say Kayalar sought $100,000 from Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, in exchange for the picture.
Kayalar was deported from the U.S. to Germany in September but, according to criminal charges filed Thursday in Los Angeles, Kayalar continued demanding money from Crawford and Gerber.
Kayalar would face up to two years in prison were he to be apprehended and convicted.
