Tanker Overturns, Spilling Whiskey On Ky. Road

Bottoms Up: Tanker Truck Overturns On Kentucky Road, Spilling Whiskey

(AP)  GEORGETOWN, Ky. (AP) - It was a "bottoms up" of a different variety. Authorities in Scott County said a tanker truck carrying Canadian Club whiskey overturned Wednesday on U.S. 460 as it was being driven to the Jim Beam distillery in Frankfort. No other vehicles were involved and Scott County Emergency Management Agency director Jack Donovan told the Lexington Herald-Leader the truck driver wasn't hurt.

The road was closed while the flammable load was retrieved and the truck uprighted.

Donovan said the tanker was leaking in two places, but it wasn't clear how much of the 7,000-gallon cargo spilled.
