Washington Lt. Gov's Son Released From Seattle Hospital; Shooter Still In Critical Condition
Mark Owen was discharged from Harborview Medical Center on Tuesday.
Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says 63-year-old Carlos Fernandez is still in the intensive care unit.
Police say Mark Owen, the son of Lt. Gov. Brad Owen, was wounded in the arm and abdomen Monday in a workplace shooting in Kent, south of Seattle. Mark Owen and Fernandez are partners in a paint and body shop for semi-trucks.
Police allege Fernandez shot Owen during an argument, then shot himself in the head.
Brad Owen says his son has worked for Fernandez for about three years and recently became his business partner. He says the two have a rocky relationship, "both economically and personally."
