Radical Imam's Web Site Praises Hasan

(AP)  The personal Web site for a radical American imam living in Yemen who had contact with two 9/11 hijackers is praising alleged Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan as a hero.

The posting Monday on the Web site for Anwar al Awlaki, who was a spiritual leader at two mosques where three 9/11 hijackers worshipped, said American Muslims who condemned the attacks on the Texas military base last week are hypocrites who have committed treason against their religion.

Two U.S. intelligence officials told The Associated Press the Web site was Al Awlaki's. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence collection.

Anwar said the only way a Muslim can justify serving in the U.S. military is if he intends to "follow in the footsteps of men like Nidal."

Although on the mark, your analysis does not fall within the thinking of most people from western countries. You have done an excellent job of pointing out the cultural differences between the Muslim world and the western world. Has anything changed in a thousand years except the weapons and methodology?

Treason against their religion....that plainly illustrates to unbridgable chasm between readical Islam and the rest of the world.

Treason is:"Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies."

The radical islamic viewpoint of equating religion with nation, i.e. 'treason against their religion', means that they cannot be reasoned or bargained with from the same viewpoint as the civilized world. There is no diplomatic solution, no common ground, with a belief system that does not respect or honor diplomacy with people who do not share their exact beliefs.
