Man Accused of Fort Hood Rampage Drank, Got Lap Dances, Club Manager Says

(CBS)  A devout Muslim man and U.S. Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood last week liked to indulge in lap dances during visits to a local strip joint, the club's manager told FoxNews.com.

"The last time he was here, I remember checking his military ID at the door, and he paid his $15 cover and stayed for six or seven hours," Matthew Jones, general manager of Starz, told the Web site of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.
Starz is located just down the road from one of Fort Hood's entrances and does not provide alcohol for its customers, though they are allowed to bring their own beverages.

"I remembered his face because it was the first lap dance I [gave] to a customer while working here," Jennifer Jenner, a stripper at the club told Fox News. "When I saw his face [Friday] on TV, I jumped out of bed, I knew it was him."

Jenner said Hasan was dressed casually - jeans and a t-shirt - stark contrast to portraits of Hasan's acquaintances who say he dressed often in Islamic garb when not in his military uniform. She said the night she encountered Hasan he only sipped from a beer and gave the rest away.

He preferred the blondes," said Jenner, who had dyed blonde hair when Hasan was at the club. "He said he was a medic and that he was being deployed soon, but mostly he wanted to ask us questions."

"He asked us why we were working at the strip club, if we liked the lifestyle, if we had any kids," she said. "It was right before Halloween so he asked what our kids were dressing up as. He just wanted to know a lot about us."

He stayed in there six or seven hours? That means he missed one of his five daily prayer breaks. He thought lap dances were OK with Allah just as he thought murdering US infidel soldiers was OK with Allah. Messed up stuff. Messed up religion. Messed up way of life.
If he lives to stand trial the military court marshall process follows US Constitutional law, not Islamic law, so he can forget whining about how Islam got him conflicted - don't care.
After the court marshall, the federal government gets him next. Then after that, the State of Texas gets him. After that's all done he will be executed somewhere in the United States.
While the entire world tries to be politically correct and not step on Islam's toes, and not hurt a single Muslim's feelings, I mourn for the poor souls who he killed and their heartbroken families. I am angry at Americans for STILL ignoring Islam and just thinking that we can all get along. Not going to ever be that way, never.
Call me what you will, but I've totally and completely had it with

I take serious exception to an article like this. Do not disparage a criminal defendant by unfairly prejudicial commentary (strip clubs). He has to face a court of law and make the army prove its case against him beyond a reasonable doubt without the smear campaign. I would also observe that the army that hired him should be investigated as well as the post commander who failed to secure his post and who did not place off limits a strip club to protect his young and impressionable soldiers.

First, he won't be tried in a civil court, he will be tried in a military court.

Second, they really cannot sentence him to death, he is already considered a "hero" for islam, a death sentence will make him a martyr. Better to send him to Leavenworth Kansas and make little ones out of big ones for the rest of his life.

Third, strip clubs near the entrances of bases are a part of the local economy.

Fourth, as for reasonable doubt, I am sure the army has plenty of witnesses, say at least 20 or so, that can/will testify against him.

What's ridiculous is describing somebody who visits strip joints for lap dances as "devout". As in the lead sentence for this article, "A devout Muslim man...liked to indulge in lap dances during visits to a local strip joint." Muslim or Christian or Jew, a devout man does not go to a strip joint for a lap dance. A hypocritical religious lunatic might do so, however.

I agree, a stripper does not make an individual a killer, I have not met a man yet that did not enjoy looking at a womans naked body, myself included so the stripper thing don't hold water. It was stated on CNN that authorities knew that the Maj was trying to contact terriost groups, hello, would that not require someones attention to keep a closer eye on this individual?? There are lots of things that don't add up in this situation and it is a shame that something like this has to happen (loss of precious life)to get someones attention.
