The military moved Hasan Friday to Brooke Medical Center in San Antonio, about 240 kilometres southwest of Fort Hood. Army officials have said Hasan is "not able to converse."

CBS News has learned that Hasan visited his mosque the morning of the attack. He reportedly had dinner the night before with Imam Syed Ahmed Ali, the imam at his mosque, and others. Ali said there was nothing strange about Hasan's behavior at dinner or at the mosque.

We all have the same parents
Many million years ago
Why can't we live in freedom
Without hunger, with no war?

At the beginning
We all had one mother and one father
That's where we are descending from

We all have the same parents
Many million years ago
Why can't we live in freedom
Without hunger, with no war?

I don't, I don't understand
Why so much fear
between races and religions

I don't, I don't understand
I don't, I don't understand
I don't, I don't understand
I don't, I don't understand

We all had the same parents
Many million years ago...

I do not have ANY ANSWERS, BUT try to search Enigma ... "The Same Parents" and PLAY IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND ...

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan will still be looking for his 72 virgins; He wants to be a martyr for Islam. He knows he has no life when he recovers.

ALL RELIGION GOES TO PERVERSION. IN THE U.S., RELIGION IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. THAT MAKES BUSH'S AND OBAMA'S FAITH BASED PROGRAMS A PAY OFF TO GET RELIGION TO SUPPORT VIOLENCE AND GREED.

There could never, ever be any excuse for what he did. However, I think that not only to force a man to stay in a Military outfit against his will for several years, but then to also force him to go to war which he obviously dreaded was spelling the word TROUBLE! If he was forced to stay in a job where he daily had to listen to the horrors of war etc and had no way out and from what we've read so far he might have been taunted for his religious beliefs as well! He tried to pay his way out of the Military but he was refused. That's a daily life that would break most people's spirit. It's different if that's where you want to be, but if you've been wanting out for a very long time and it's hell to you every day. I don't think it's right to own a man's life to such an extent. If they'd let him leave as he desperately wanted to, 13 others would still be alive today but sadly those innocent people are gone..
I think the fact that he gave away his furniture and it seems he said goodbye to various people means he expected to be killed when he went on his rampage. I think that's a man who couldn't take it anymore.. He's probably shocked that he survived!

newsreader8 - no offense but you can't just let people come and go as they please when they wear the uniform. They swear the oath and commit to serve for x-number of years.
If the Major had wanted to get out all he had to do was not show up for work - period. Just refuse to go to work. He'd have been up on charges and eventually booted out.
At 39 years of age, never been married, alleged alcohol issues, and work performance issues, this guy was definitely not on the fast track to light bird.

"But freedom of religion was one of the founding principles of my country"

There is nothing in our country that allows a religion based on killing to convince its people to murder Americans.
NOTHING.
In fact a religion that preaches killing Americans because they are some other religion thus violating their rights, and killing members of our military which is treason, is in itself unconstitutional and cannot be allowed.
As an example anyone can start a church and be protected but if they start to convince followers to commit crimes and kill they can be arrested as we have seen in the past years for such murder cult "religions".
If Muslims do not want to be associated with the mass murderers around the world then THEY need to police themselves and do something about it which they are not doing.
I can only imagine the parties, cheers, dancing, celebrations, and candy being passed out around the Muslim world when they heard about the mass murder by their Muslim hero. These celebrations and comments are being withheld by the media because the rich and oil companies control our media now and they do not want to offend Muslims.
You know I'm right, you may not admit it, but deep down you know the truth.

The Roman Catholic Church spread it's religion by murdering and torturing non-believers. And they still continue today buy raping alter boys.

bubbadubba,

You just aren't going to get it. A whole religion, or a whole race of people did not commit this crime. By all accounts a disturbed individual committed this crime. Did we ask all Christians to police themselves after Jonestown. Did we ask all white prople to police themselves after Oklahoma. No you attach all Muslims to this event because you are a bigot.
by bubbadubba November 8, 2009 2:36 PM EST
Did any news reports bring up how in the Iraq war a Muslim American soldier threw a hand grenade into a tent and killed a bunch of US officers? There were other incidents too.
Just wondering.
America has a short memory.
I don't mind Muslims or them serving in our military but they should be restricted to non combat jobs and watched very carefully unlike this guy who sent up red flags all over the place and our great FBI did NOTHING.
Guess the FBI was too busy arresting some woman for downloading a song.

"This Muslim was quite clever to execute this crime to fan the fire between America (The aggressors) and the Muslims here in America. Others may follow later in time just to keep American guessing and fearful of every Muslim in this country. And with over ten thousand unaccounted Foreign Exchange Students from the Middle East and Asia wandering around this country we may wonder when the next big event will happen and will we be brave enough to prohibit Islam and the Koran in this country.

Adolph,
Thank you for your opinion. But freedom of religion was one of the founding principles of my country.
by curiously1 November 8, 2009 1:40 PM EST
I don't have a problem with Muslims in general. My issue is, if they enter the U.S in search of a better life, they should shave the beard, dress accordingly to a western society, and they should absolutely have no public gatherings in the name of their religion, meaning we should not allow mosques here in America. If they truly want to practice their religion, they should stay in their own countries. I know, I know...someone is going to cite the "Freedom of Religion" matter. But we have to choose between certain freedoms and our security. Which is the most important of the two?

Freedom of Religion
"In June 1779 the introduction of Thomas Jefferson's bill on religious liberty. The bill was significant as no other state -- indeed, no other nation - - provided for complete religious liberty at that time. Jefferson's bill stated, " That all men shall be free to profess, and by argument to maintain, their opinions on matters of religion, and that the same shall in no wise diminish, enlarge, or affect their civil capacities. At that time "Freedom of Religion" meant that the reason of man, may be trusted with the formation of his own opinions. - Not by religion, political, or cult following."

Has anyone read this article: "Comments by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano also appeared part of efforts to reassure the Arab world that US authorities were taking measures to quell anti-Islam sentiments after last week's rampage by an American-born Muslim serving as US Army psychiatrist. This was a terrible tragedy for all involved," Napolitano told reporters in the United Arab Emirates' capital Abu Dhabi. Obviously, we object to - and do not believe - that anti-Muslim sentiment should emanate from this. Napolitano said her agency is working with state and local groups to try to deflect any anti-Muslim anger after the Thursday attacks by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The shootings left 13 people dead and 29 wounded."

ISN'T IT REASSURING TO KNOW WE HAVE SUCH A COWARDLY, SPINELESS HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY AND THE ARAB WORLD MUST BE LAUGHING AT HER. I AM SO GLAD SHE IS TRYING TO REASSURE THE ARAB WORLD. I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU JANET: ANTI-MUSLIM SENTIMENT HAS EMANATED FROM THIS. WE DON'T ALL HAVE OUR HEADS IN THE SAND LIKE YOU DO.

Knowing what you know now, going back to 500 years from today, which religion would you pick: Islam or Christianity?!
As I said earlier, we've got to call a spade, a spade. Not a single day goes by when you don't hear of muslims murdering others.

I would be the first to go Killin if they were invading my country. Constantly meddling in our affairs and funding terrorist jewish states next door.

Radical Islam!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most recent reports link Hasan to 9-11 terrorists!!!!

"He attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists.Hasan's eyes "lit up" when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki's teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas."

It should be enough to convince people with just a mass murder and a Muslim... You have numerous signs though. And still, people want to blame something else....

Read the Qur'an. It teaches these these things. The only difference between a moderate Muslim and a radical Muslim. Is desire to take action. Their teachings come from the same book.

Read the newest book "Moslem Mafia" linking our countries largest Islamic group to radical Islam. See how they have gone on a campaign of misinformation and propoganda.

Wake up America! People are being killed every day, in the name of Allah and Islam.

This guy is one of yours jayrh - just like McVeigh.

You crazy bigot come in different shades and colors but at the end of the day, you're just that: a crazy killer, determined to make the "other" bow down to your crazy beliefs.

If he had been a Christian or Jew you would have no comment about this.

You don't know anything about the military. I don't care if he worshipped the moon. He now deserves to die. There is a process in the military and this guy should have been weeded out but I'm guessing they were all afraid of hearing "religious freedom" and let him slip on by. Military is a brotherhood for life- you DO NOT harm your own. This is as evil as killing your own family members. For some people even worse!
by curiously1 November 8, 2009 10:54 AM EST
fss2009 - you've got to call a spade, a spade. Islam is misdirected as it misdirects its believers to death and destruction. I am certain that there are good muslims in the world, and many in the U.S. But the religion, itself, appears to be outdated and unrealistic.

I don't care why he did it. It would be better if he just died and we never know. If he lives and goes to court he will claim he did it as a matter of faith and will be looked upon as a martyr. If he just dies he is nothing more than a lone-wolf gunman, unhappy with life.
