Relics of 1967's Past

(CBS)  In the conclusion of "The Early Show"'s "Time Machine" series, weather anchor and features reporter Dave Price "traveled" back to the year 1967, the year of the "Summer of Love." He returned dressed in suede pants, among other iconic garb of the era, and "brought back" several items from that year, including the artifacts below.

"In the Heat of the Night" was a film starring Sidney Poitier and Carroll O'Connor. It centered around an African-American detective who is enlisted to investigate a murder in a small racist Southern town. The famous "They call me Mr. Tibbs!" line came from this film. The movie, directed by Norman Jewison, won the 1967 Oscar for "Best Picture."

The novel "Rosemary's Baby"
"Rosemary's Baby" was a best selling horror novel in 1967, and one of the top 10 best sellers of the year. Major elements of the story were inspired by the publicity surrounding the Church of Satan of Anton LaVey, which was founded in 1966. The novel centers on Rosemary, an anxious, pregnant stay-at-home mother. As the novel progresses, she comes to believe she is carrying the child of Satan.
