(CBS)  Still looking for that perfect costume for a party this Halloween night?

"The Early Show Saturday Edition" wanted to be sure that in any haste to grab a costume you don't wind up in something very -- 2008!

So, we had In Touch Weekly Senior Writer Amy Palmer stop by, to help make sure you get a cool costume and not something you wouldn't want to be -- caught dead in!

According to Palmer, celebs who are in, and out this year include:

OUT: BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE

Everyone would agree that Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are one of the best-known couples in Hollywood. Last year, the famous pair had just expanded their brood by two, with the birth of twins Vivienne & Knox, plus Angie was quoted as saying, "We're going to have more kids, one way or another!"

Easy at-home costume! Signature black maxi dress, long dark hair, over-sized sunglasses & it wouldn't be Angie without a baby in her arms!

IN: JON and KATE GOSSELIN

In the last six months, Jon & Kate Gosselin have become household names. Even if you didn't watch their TLC show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8," you can't miss them on the covers of celebrity magazines, including "In Touch Weekly."

Thought to be one of this year's most popular costumes, Kate's most distinctive feature is her hair! (Which you could simulate with a wig, available at most costume stores)

Kate has said, "It's my attitude! Everybody wants it. It's work. I have very, very thick hair, so it's not going to work for everybody. I've seen people come through the book line with thin hair and it just won't work. My hair stylist gets calls from all across the country."

Some think now that, Jon & Kate are separated, he's been trying to recapture some of his earlier days.

Jon's signature look is an Ed Hardy tee shirt with jeans and wraparound sunglasses. Don't forget that CZ stud earring!

OUT: AMY WINEHOUSE

Last year, dressing up like Grammy Award-winner Amy Winehouse was so popular, Cindy Crawford went as the "Rehab" singer to Kate Hudson's 2008 Halloween Party.

All you need is the trademark bee-hive, lots of black eyeliner and as many tattoos as you can bear. Or if you'd prefer not to actually get a tattoo (real or fake), you can wear a tattoo tee.

Amy hasn't released a studio album since 2006, so this costume is OUT.

IN: MICHAEL JACKSON

People all over the world were devastated by the death of Michael Jackson last June. He's known as the King of Pop and the most successful entertainer of all time (he has the Guinness record!), but with the current release of the documentary film "This is It," this Halloween is the perfect year for people to celebrate the legacy of one of the greatest performing artists the world has known.

There are lots of variations of the Michael Jackson costume, from his early days of Captain EO & Moonwalker. Some are even going even earlier, as Michael's scarecrow from The Wiz!

We prefer a classic MJ, red leather jacket, signature sequin glove, but you're sure to see a lot of Michael Jackson's out tonight.

OUT: SARAH PALIN

Political figures are always a popular choice at Halloween, and last year, former Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin was the quintessential costume. Whether you love or hate her, she definitely had a signature look that gets people talking.

Recreating Palin's look is simple: the glossy lips, the perfectly tousled hair with bangs, sexy librarian glasses, the power suit and a pair of closed toed pumps!

IN: BALLOON BOY!

This month, the world was captivated when news broke of a Colorado boy who had been accidently swept away in a homemade balloon. Hours later, officials found him hidden in a cardboard box in the attic of the family's home. Authorities have declared the incident a hoax, but that hasn't stopped the family from appearing in headlines. It will certainly be considered one of 2009's most bizarre and talked-about stories.

This costume is fantastic, because it's easy to make and cost-effective! Just get a cardboard box (like the one little Falcon Heene was found in hidden in the attic!), and a silver balloon, like the one they thought he was in. Add a nametag and "As Seen on TV" sign to complete the outfit!

America, it is high time that you stop this idiotic and truly satanic celebration where you actually exploit the health of your children for the sake of making momey? Our ever more obese children are exploited by unscrupulous merchants, whom I take the right to call them nothing but worse than the terrorists that America fights all over the globe. Parents, where are your brains anyway? You already have a hard time to pay insurance premiums and where Insurance Companies already try to not insure overweight babies! Yes, America it is high time to do the right thing and stop this crase of making money while in essence helping to destroy America. This with no apology whatsover and please do not give any flack for my comment? This nation under God and yet, yearly wasting 5 to 6 billions in celebration to the evil one indeed, takes the cake and all that goes with it.
