(CBS)  "She was my best friend... sometimes she was my only friend. I wish every single day of my life that I could have my mom back," said Faylene Grant's daughter, Jenna. "My mom died when I was 11. Some people think it was an accident… some people think it was a suicide. But I know it was a murder.

"My step dad murdered my mom," she said.

"Faylene is a good person," Doug Grant told "48 Hours Mystery" correspondent Susan Spencer. "I have never hurt anybody in my life - ever!"

Friend and Physician's Assistant Chad White said, "Doug called me very frantic. He just said he found her in the tub and that she was not responding to him."

"I had my hand on the door handle to her bedroom as it was happening," Jenna explained.

"I’ve been working on this story for a number of years," said Reporter Paul Rubin. "By all accounts, Faylene Grant is a wonderful woman. Very, very close to her family - and especially close to her church.

"This is something my mom wrote in her journal, '…it is Heavenly Father's will that I leave this mortal sphere to fulfill a mission on the other side of the veil.'"

"She also wrote: 'I must have faith in Doug's vision. He dreams it every night now ... that I will get to go to the Celestial Kingdom."

According to Prosecutor Juan Martinez, "Douglas Grant used organized religion in killing Faylene Grant… The motive in this case is a married man wanting to be with a younger woman."

"I’m the lucky one. Think what you want to think, that’s fine," said Hilary Grant, the woman Doug married after Faylene's death.

"Have there been other women in his life? Yes, but he is not a murderer," said defense attorney Mel McDonald.

"I know that my brother Doug is innocent," Tammy Fuentes said. "I mean, if you saw the volumes of letters that she wrote [in] her journals, it's bizarre!"

"Here is woman who has talked to God, God has told her that she is going to die," said McDonald.

"She did not want to die. But it was Mr. Grant's vision that she would and she accepted the death sentence that was meted out by her husband," said Martinez.

"I didn’t kill my wife - never in a million years," said Doug.

"This one is a classic," Rubin said. "It's got this epic sweep of sex and drugs and religion. Homicide, suicide or accident? Was there even a murder here?"

I wish ANY reporter would contact me to discuss the suspicious death of my son, Joshua Robinson, who was found dead in Amsler Park/McGregor, Tx on February 16, 2006. Without investigating or asking me, the mother, any questions, the police presumed the death was due to suicide!
However, after 3+ years of research, teaching myself basic forensics such as manner/cause of death, rigor/livor mortis, cadaveric spasm, digestion processes pertaining to time of death, etc, I have concluded that Joshua did NOT die from his own hands!
www.americaiswatching.org (Joshua Robinson) Attached documents, including a crime scene photo, statement that a patrol officer was the last person to see him alive in Amsler Park, which has a 10PM curfew, and an online petition.

I wished they would've shown the 2 hour version of this case like they did about 5 months ago. Than you all really would be more upset at this jury. This woman had serious psychological and mental issues. Her husband hung in there best he could. When they first got married he gave all her family memebers jobs in his business, good jobs. The guy was doing real well for himself, he just got hooked up with a wack job. They didn't show the time she went to this remote mountain in the desert to talk to God, and stayed there for several days, she suffered from dehydration, hunger, and almost died, they traced her by pinging her cell phone. Other weird things she did as well, they didn't cover in this hour episode. Regardless, the jury got it wrong, all those notes and memoirs she wrote virtually saying she was ready to meet God, and she finally did it. Only thing she met the other man down below, suicide is the ultimate sin which casts you strait to hell. Very sad story, hopefully this guy can hold up, he's lucky to get 5 years, should have been exonnerated though. Very sad story.

The guy deserved manslaughter because he let her die. I don't believe she fell off that l mountain ledge at all. She sustained only minor injuries off a cliff that high with all those sharp rocks. Also, The guy never called 911. Plus, the crying game. FAKE!!! Dateline NBC did a story on his whole crying episodes. He cried tears at the drop of a hat. He should've become an actor.

I feel sorry for Doug. He even went back and remarried Faylene! I'm hoping I'm right, but I think Faylene needed psychological help, big time. I hope he and Hillary can have a wonderful life ahead of them, when he comes back.

There is no justice here! There is overwhelming evidence that Faylene was seriously disturbed mentally for a long time. She obviously committed suicide, either by sure intentions or by a half-hearted attempt (either of which resulted in her death). The "fall" on the mountain was no doubt the first half-hearted attempt to kill herself. Not wanting anyone to know what she really did, they both covered it up with their "falling" story. This man endured a lot. He lived with a woman who was constantly "up" or "down" emotionally... that is extremely difficult for the spouse. But he loved her and tried to help her. After all, he didn't HAVE to remarry her. If he had wanted to marry Hilary, he could have stayed divorced from Faylene. No way did Doug murder his wife, nor did he have any participation in her death. This poor guy was sent to prison by an inept jury who didn't like him because he had affairs. This is SO wrong!

The lady was a nut case. Again a woman able to screw a mans life over from the grave. Must have been a real loony tune.

I believe CBS did an outstanding job of reporting on this. However, the case in my opinion is another classic case of a miscarriage of justice in the case of Adam. There may be many faults within him, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence that he did his wife any physical harm. But in Arizona, he had three strikes against him, he is a Morman, who married a delusional Morman, and then married another Morman. Mormans have long been discriminated against in Arizona because of their religious practices, and when you have a man that has had mulitple relationships with women it makes it all the easier to find a reason to dislike him. The jury admitted they convicted him of being a scum bag. Trouble is he wasn't on trial for that. Hopefully, his attorney can get the conviction overturned on appeal. How that jury can sleep at night or live with themselves is beyond me. To destroy someone because they don't fit your idea of the perfect man is well, just obsurd on the face of it. Like I said, hopefully the attorney will appeal based on the daughters testimony, which in my opinion should not have been allowed, prosecutor misconduct, the finding of the coroner that no crime was comitted, juror statements, and the failure of the judge to properly instruct the jury, set the verdict aside, but most of all her failure to simply dismiss the case from the start for a lack of evidence. Simply put, Adam remarried his wife at her request,he didn't have to, and in my opinion his delusional wife did what she had planned to do, which was to get even with a cheating husband by killing herself in a manner that would result in his loss of reputation if not imprisonment. She got what she wanted. Kinda of scary when you think about it, that one can go to prison for not being a nice person, and the only evidence presented is discounted, evidence of a very disturbed woman by her on account, who planned her death and dreamed of suicide, but hey that is Arizona.

A responsible man would need to tell his wife to stop talking the way Faylene talked. Doug encouraged that idiot talk Faylene was doing, with the selfish motive of getting a new young wife who is also an idiot by the way she is going along with all Doug's stupid fantasies.
