SoCal Man Gets Death for Girlfriend Slay

(AP)  A jury has recommended death for a Long Beach man who murdered a girlfriend because she refused to help him dispose of another girlfriend's body.

The Long Beach panel took just 30 minutes Thursday to sentence 28-year-old Santiago Martinez Jr. for the 2003 killing of Myra Orozco. An earlier jury had deadlocked over the penalty.

Orozco, a 24-year-old Long Beach resident, was stabbed and slashed nearly 30 times, pushed from a car and run over.

Prosecutors say she was killed because she refused to help Martinez dump the body of a woman he'd killed two weeks earlier.

Martinez already is serving 52 years to life for the murder of Christina Wilkerson, who was stabbed 20 times and shot.

Sure. California is a hotbed of executions. This guy lives his life out next to Scott Peterson and dies in prison.

It is safe to assume he is Latino. There was no mention of him being an Illegal Immagrant.

It is also safe to assume he is a scum-bag of the highest order who has a one way ticket to Hell if there is such a place.

For many people, not only are undocumented illegal aliens --also illegal immigrants, but the wave and their subsequent offspring granted amnesty in the 1980s are still illegal aliens. The fact that our government has lied to us and continues to encourage illegal traffic then grants amnesty does not mean that most of the public do not still regard most Hispanics from now and those who anchored or amnestied during the 1980s to be illegals. Tweaking the law for politics does not change the fact that many from either set came here legally in the first place.
