As President Bush leaves office, the nation takes a look at his record.

(AP)  A federal judge says former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik is displaying some worrying behavior in jail.

Judge Stephen Robinson did not describe the symptoms Friday. But he says the Westchester County jail's psychiatric director told him about words or actions "that raised the level of concern."

Robinson raised the possibility that Kerik would have to waive doctor-patient privilege or even undergo a court-ordered examination.

Defense lawyer Barry Berke says Kerik is not taking medication but is "regularly speaking to staffers."

Kerik has pleaded not guilty to accepting co-op renovations in exchange for recommending a company that sought city business.

Kerik won glowing reviews for his leadership after 9/11. He withdrew his nomination to lead the federal Homeland Security agency as corruption allegations mounted.

Earlier this month, Robinson revoked bail for Kerik and sent him to jail to await his corruption trial.

Calling Kerik "a toxic combination of self-minded focus and arrogance," Judge Stephen Robinson said he was revoking the $500,000 bail because Kerik disclosed sealed case information to the trustee of his legal defense fund.

I wonder how many good people this thug drove his jack boot into their backside. Any and all torment that flows his way is rightfully deserved.

and you let other cops down too.....

What the hell are you smoking?
They are a corrupt bunch of murderous thugs and animals who live off of us. Kerik was probably cleaner than almost all of them!
Oh. And one last thing. If you support or defend them you are scum just like they are.

I do hope you never need an officer. Like, maybe your house will never be burglarized and you lose almost everything valuable that you own. Or your wife or daughter has been assaulted and is in pain and bleeding and needs someone to go to the hospital with her and help her through the intense exam needed to try to catch the creep that did it. Or you are in an automobile accident and are trapped, and the guys who normally do extrications aren't on scene yet... and the cop is there and will pull your sorry butt out of that burning car... Or someone is shooting up the neighborhood, including at you and your family and a COP takes a bullet trying to put the creep down. Or your child is lost and the COPS are out in force looking for him/her and continue do to so all day and night and find the little one and bring him/her home and put them in your arms safe and sound!

Yep, they are all scum..... BIG NOT!!!! You, on the other hand.....

Yet Elliot Spitzer, who ran a money laundering prostitution ring, received no charges whatsoever, but don't accept co-op renovations in exchange for recommending a company that sought city business, or
(be a republican) then you will get 2 years up the river.....something isn't right here...oh, right, Spitzer is a liberal democrat, and Kerik is from a republican administration...I get it now...(Ie: Charles Rangel, Daschle, Geitner) we see the dem corruption loud and clear.

Empire _George, you're a f****** idiot. You probably "write the 'news'" for Faux News, which of course bears little resemblance to fact. Spitzer did not run a money laundering prostitution ring and you know it. Or else you are really really dumb. So are you a liar or just really dumb?

What you do is take one of the circumstances related to Spitzer hiring a hooker, and call it "he ran it." Others were, in fact, guilty of what you state. Spitzer was a customer of the ring. To be sure, another run-of-the-mill scumbag john. Unfortunately for you, being a john in this country is a far lesser crime than running a money laundering ring so you have to elevate it because your eyes fill with blood at the mere mention of a democrat. I won't bother to rattle on about the scores of republicans caught up in sexual scandals just in the past three years but you know who they are.

I'm not defending or excusing Spitzer's behavior as far as his dalliances with hookers. Why can't you be as objective?

And summarex, where do you get Spitzer gets away with much more? Kerik is charged with a host of very serious charges involving the public trust and public money, not to mention he derived significant personal financial gain. How does Spitzer equate with that?

If the allegations against Kerik prove true, and it sure looks that way, that makes him a primo felon and I hope he spends a lot of time looking at bars from the inside out.

Spitzer did not "run" the prostitution ring, he was a just a frequent customer there..though...since he routinely spent about 4K each time, maybe you are implying that with money like that, going to it--he may as well have run it? LMAO

The more I read about this the more I believe the judge did the right thing and took away bail. Posted by Baileyccc

Guliani vouched for him but when the real story started to come out about Bernie using a condo reserved for 9/11 first responders to meet his lover Judith Regan at and then stalking her, among other things, he withdrew his name. He knew he could not passed confirmation. President Bush did a lot of dumb things, thankfully this wasn't one that went to fruition. I can't believe he broke down so quickly whether he's faking or not. He actually thought he could lead Homeland Security?

This is a representative of Rudy Guliani's government, and Bush picked him for his regime too.

What else needs to be said?
