(AP)  Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh has written a play about the case of slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, whose mother Casey is charged with killing her.

Australia's Sydney Theatre Company plans to stage "Tot Mom" in December. Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett and her husband are artistic directors of the prestigious group.

Caylee Anthony: The Untold Story

Soderbergh based the play on court documents and excerpts from the CNN show "Nancy Grace," which highlighted the investigation, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Grace is being played by Essie Davis, who appeared in "Australia" and "The Matrix Revolutions."

A spokeswoman said Grace had no comment on the play.

Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty. The toddler's remains were found in December 2008, months after she was reported missing.

I doubt many Australian's have heard of the case. Considering the play is being staged in Australia I don't see the big deal.

No way would I watch a play about this. We know the real story and that's too much!
We've all had enough of the whole Anthony Saga.

There is nothing to be proud of making a play out of that tragic story.
